Khan has nobody but himself to blame he couldnt in fight and couldnt keep Petersen off his chest unless by running he languished on the ropes and let Petersen tee off he made the 1st deduction obvious with his forearm and elbow 2nd deduction was very fair and Khan punched on the break and coulda been docked for that Khan got a BS KD all in all Khan has some work to do
Khan's not an inside fighter and that's not where he's comfortable. He's more effective controlling range and clipping his opponents at the end of his long punches. On the inside his power isn't as effective and his longer arms aren't as free flowing. He can fight on the inside but not for too long against someone who is in his element banging away on the inside... (Peterson). The ref was bull****...the officiating and point deductions were bull****. But it was a GREAT fight none the less and Peterson fought the fight of his life. Did he win......on the cards, yes. But I thought he lost the fight by a couple of rounds even with the two point deductions. He's lucky that Khan decided it would be cool to fight in Peterson's own back yard.
The face of a man fighting TWO guys. Look....Khan wasn't doing anything that the sweet science hasn't seen or embraced before. Pushing is technically illegal but a lot of fighters do it all the time. Ali, Floyd, Big George, Duran..the list goes on and on. The ref was helping out Peterson as he was probably worried about what awaited him outside of the MCI center if Peterson didn't get the win.:!:
maybe he could learn to pivot. Khan would always just try to circle around when he wants to change angles. His footwork is trash This content is protected This content is protected
great video didnt read all the reply just wanted to say One minute of the fight Kahn pushed. clearly theres a new nick name for him
I couldn't agree more, rather than just plain running. I mean the level of footwork of Khan is shocking for a so called elite fighter.:-( I'm also puzzled that his trainers have never picked up on this in the gym and tried to correct it and teach him proper technique. That **** is embarrassing and they need to fired. It seems like to me they thought he could get away with it because of his superior handspeed.
foreal man. You can even use Bradley as an example. He doesn't run away from Lamont. He fights him in to pocket, but that's a different discussion. When he's fighting from a distance, he takes small steps backward and and can punch on the back foot. When Bradley is stuck on the ropes, he doesn't stand there with his ear muffs on or foul (hold held in headlock, push head down or push), he moves his head and picks shots off. Then Bradley can pivot out and get out of the corner and can't himself from getting the ring cut off. Khan really needs to reevaluate his game Watch round 6 [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkHqh0tJwD0[/ame]
I do not see what is illegal about pushing. The greats George Foreman and Lennox Lewis did it all the time. Pushing is better than tying up and getting tangled all the time.
Yep I remember that fight. This IMO was the best that Bradley has ever looked. He looked liked a complete fighter in this fight beating and outclassing a very game Peterson that night. He got the best of Peterson on the inside and had a great gameplan overall. Bradley unlike Khan is adept at fighting on the inside and is very smart while he's there.
