People claiming that the glove make that big of a difference are morons. At the end of the night they aer all 8 oz and i even read somewhere that the gloves maidana wears are used by GGG and Kovalev and other hard hitting boxers.

If you did, then you know number are constant, meaning 8oz gloves are 8oz gloves. There is not such thing as one glove being more or less 8oz then the other.

Both fighter were using regulation 8oz, the concern on floyd side when it comes to gloves is the location of the padding, which nothing more then compact horse hair and cotton or foam. Its does nothing to increasing or decrease the impact of the punch.
If a 147 fighter is a KO artist, he or she will still KO knock your ass out with any 8oz glove regardless of the placement of the padding.

Again the concern was, some boxing gloves allows you to move the padding to different parts of the glove. Making it possible to have less or more padding on the knuckle part of the glove.

The problem is not being able to hit harder, the danger is with less padding, its easier to cut open a fighter.

It just stupid to think that If Maidaina had his special Magic gloves he was going to beat Floyd or KO him. He got his one dead on shot on Floyd, Floyd to his credit was clear headed before he sat down on the stool.

Pac on the other hand was Flat OUT !!
