Christ that big oaf sucks 5"9 fighter guys...5"9 fighter who at his best was a so so cruiser...enjoy [yt]qsa10HeJmCc[/yt]
pretty close..and this little guy loses but gets in plenty of put shots and seems to soak up the giant throws at him (or i guess you could say, pushes at him)
Marciano would destroy Valuev. No contest. Rocky chops his body down while he swings hooks over his head
I actually have quite a bit of respect for Valuev. Not that he would beat any notable HW let alone Marciano. But taking into account that his size was actually a detriment with his giantism doing a number on his knees. He had little to no power, speed, athleticism, the only thing that kept him in there was that he had the dedication to learn the fundamentals and work behind a jab. He had stamina go to all 12 at a decent work rate. For someone that was just ment to be a freakshow he made the most of it. And by all accounts he is a gentle and intelligent human being.
Well said. In fact, Valuev was more snappy than given credit for, and probably had an iron jaw. Nice jab, too.
Nice post and I agree. Not terrible. Not any better than decent considering his size and lack of power but never understood the detractors with him. He looked very good. Without a doubt his best performance but again, not trying to knock the guy but that isn't saying very much.
I agree it isn't saying much at all. Given his gigantism that might well have been his 1 fight peak. I was just commenting on how commanding he looked behind his jab, backing his man up against the ropes.
There are superheavyweights who might just be too big for Marciano, but Valuev isn't one of them. There comes a point where quality matters as well.
What about the video convinced you that Valuev loses to Marciano? Was it Dominguez eating punches like they were candy? Was it his inabillity to hit Valuev even on the inside. Sure he landed a few, but there were a notcible number of mises than hits. Most of Dominguez's punches were sliped or blocked. He couldn't even win the exchanges on the inside. Short of a one punch ko (Some of Dominguez's punchs did land flush.) I don't see Marciano beating Valuev. It's not imposible or even inconcible that it happens. One has to consider that Marciano will be targeting a man 100+ Lbs heavyer and a foot taller. Who dose he have that gives him that experance? Pretty much by default Valuev has experance with smaller men. I think the greatest factor in Marciano's favor is that whin fist meats chin. Chin usually wins. I see either a mythodical decision for Valuev or one punch ko for Marciano.
Man, you have gone and done it now! Do you have any kind of idea the trouble you are going to be in when Boxed sees this thread....I wouldn't want to be in your shoes!
