james toney said he would put his money on pac by ko

    Quote:
James Toney: “I grew up with Floyd Mayweather… we all came from the same block in Michigan. Me, the Mayweather family, Buster Mathis, Tony Tucker… The ‘Hall of Fame’ block, you know what I’m sayin? I love Floyd and I’m glad he’s doing what he’s doing… but if you claim to be the best fighter in the world in the world pound-for-pound… fight! Don’t make no excuses.”

“Pacquiao’s going to knock Floyd out… and Floyd knows it. Floyd’s my man and I love him but I’m going to call it like I see it. The thing is this: Do you know what a rabbit does when it gets backed into a corner? It faints. And that’s what Floyd’s doing.”

A lot of old school guys have the same mentality which is why his comments sound just like all the other fighters from the other eras. I'm glad he made it a point to highlight Floyd's abilities, skills and talents.

I agree with Ray on pretty much everything except saying that being undefeated means nothing. For most it means nothing but Floyd has beaten top fighters... And yet....still he's got the zero. Ray doesn't seem to like the way Floyd uses his talents and athleticism.

Instead of using those qualities to put on a show and take some risks Floyd is using those attributes to avoid risks to ensure he can continue to claim that being undefeated makes his "TBE". Floyd is great .....one of the best but he will never be recognized as highly as he hopes after he calls it a career.

What I got from that video is that fighters shouldn't box.. To entertain the masses or majority of the people who watch, fans or not, you have to have 2 guys just throwing punches at each other until one fall.. How many people want to watch a defective fighter out box his opponent vs a brawler koing his opponent?

At this point, no one will ever be specified with anything Floyd does, so he might as well continue what he's doing.. He can fight Manny and GGG, but do you think he'll try to knock them out or brawl with them? Absolutely not and he'll get knocked for it...

He even said if he was Floyd, he'll be doing the same thing.. Who wouldn't? People claim Floyd is feather fisted but want to see him go for the ko? Then get mad because Canelo has power but chose to box? It's like they want Floyd to win with his weaknesses and ignore his strengths.. These things only apply to Floyd though...

Are you serious? So taking calculated risks equals brawling with no strategy in your mind. Mayweather and Wlad are both not well liked because they never take any risks ever. A real champ takes a risk once in a while.

What risk are you talking about? Opponent or what he does in the ring? If it's either, my post still covers it...

A boy who quotes as much as *******s cannot think on his own. You need to use other people's words.

Nothing is in it for me. So why do *******s bring up PPV numbers? How SHO is supposedly going broke. :rofl Oh, the hypocrisy! Fact is old school boxers are jealous of Floyd and the money he's making. They feel like they paid their dues and fought fan friendly fights. Why didn't the fans pay them then? The fans pay to see Floyd! #1PPV
