aint you learned nothing you can have all the striking ability in the world but if you have ZERO take down defence and ZERO ground game strinking counts for very little in this game :deal

To be fair he looked staggered like he was ready to fall down. Maybe he does not take a punch to well also.

All that ground work is highly technical and more sophisticated than average boxing fans realise. I personal think that professional boxers should stay away from MMA and virtually have no chance if they try.

Even Kick Boxers with basic wrestling ability get pwned. Mayweather or either Klits would stand no chance against any of the most average MMA fighters. All they have to do is keep they head very low and rush in. Once the start grappling it is game over.

Please stick to boxing and just retire afterwards.

Yes it is, your right. Its not my cup of tea but i was into mma before i was a boxing fan and it has its own 'science' to it.

I think pro boxers have a chance, 100% of mma fights start on their feet, and youve got many, many guys whos bread and butter are standing who boxers will have great shots against. I think pro boxers have better shot at mma then mma guys do in boxing thats for sure.

That being said, i dont want to see them mix at all.... boxers stay in boxing and mma guys stay in mma. but one must understand when a fighter is at the end of the road hes going to make money any way he can, and if boxing is done for him then he will go to mma, i expect to see a lot of this down the line.

the ground work is not as sophisticated as it appears. most of the technicalities of bjj and judo go out the window in an mma fight. watch a few, you'll see: double leg takedown, armbar, triangle choke, guillotine and rear naked choke. any other time another type of submission is pulled out, it's practically a miracle to the commentators. these are all pretty basic movements to get down. this guy has been knocked out from punches by lesser boxers than mayorga.

I just dont want to see ex world champion boxers get humiliated by average fighter MMA fighters purely based in the fact they are not well prepared for that type of combat.
