Funny how careful he was not to imply that Liston took a dive. I think Sonny took a beating in bout 1 and cashed in on bout 2 with a dive. Everyone knew Liston took the path of least resistance, I just hope Sonny made some money doing so. Marciano very smart and subtle but says it without saying it.
Sonny got clipped with that right hand enough to cause a flash knock down only. A combination of Ali's crazy behaviour and the memories of the beating he took in the first fight made him dump it imo he could of got up but choose not to.
He took a dive....that was the thought then...that's the thought now. Sonny had a bit of the "dog" in him. I've seen better acting in the WWF/WWE...
