to be honest with you him being a hard hitter or not isn't much of my concern. it's yours. Pernell Whitaker is one of my favorite fighters.:yep

I can see floyd getting a tko on cotto not so much a straight up KO in which he hits cotto so hard he can't get up.

Floyd has the skill, speed, power, accuracy, stamina to do so. cotto consitantly cut eyes, bruising, and sub-par stamina adds to this fact.

The fighting styles also favor Floyd because of Cotto jab and reach (67)being inferior to Floyds pull counter and reach (72) as well as reflexes. So it's possible (hell even likely ) that cotto's jab will be taken away from him.

Cotto is also a great body puncher but very susceptible to uppercuts (see the judah fight). and unfortunately for cotto that is the punch Floyd generally uses to neutralize opponents body punches. (see floyd vs chavez, coralles, castillo, corley, hatton, ortiz etc.)

All in all it should be an entertaining fight but I have Floyd by either UD or TKO late 8-10.

P.S Floyd definitely isn't the most exciting fighter.

Judah had to low blow Floyd to survive. Those body shots were breaking Judah down. Judah was on his way to getting stopped until that happened.

Well then if you don't care, quit trying to insinuate ******ed things. Like Mayweather stopping Cotto. Mayweather doesn't have the power to stop him and Cotto doesn't have a weak chin.

People said the same about Hatton. Floyd wouldve kod Ortiz had the fight gone on longer.

Mayorga landed 50% of his power punches on Cotto expect Floyd to have a field day.

its really not that ridiculous. Cotto has paper skin and has been stopped before. lets not forget that Cotto gets wobbled in damn near EVERY fight hes in. on top of that theyre using 8 oz gloves. Floyd has underrated power and is becoming more aggressive in his offence. most of his opponents admit that he hits harder than most people think. i think hes about average with his power on top of that hes very accurate and thats more than enough to stop cotto late. it wont be KO but i can see a TKO happening.

People need to realize that Floyd has bulked up a good bit since the De La Hoya days.
And still kept his speed (Obviously no where near his peak speed at 130) but the mother****er is still fast as ever and a hell of a lot faster than Cotto.

I can easily see Floyd just tagging Cotto to peices up until the 7th and eventually a ref stoppage coming in the 8th or 9th. No, I don't think Floyd will just flat out 1 punch ko Cotto. But a tko, ref stoppage, corner throw in towl ala Corrales fight? Of course that can happen.

But then again Mayorga has more power than Floyd and couldn't stop him. Like I said Floyd will beat Cotto, no doubt about it, but it will be one of his trademark pit pat decisions.

Judah was on his way out, hence the need for the low blow and hit on the back of the head, he was trying to get disqualified so he wouldnt get knocked out.

Plus, trhat was Floyds first fight (maybe 2nd at WW) ... He hits a lot harder now

Agreed, however, I do think an accurate counter punch could knock Cotto out. This how Pac was able to get 2 knockdowns against Cotto.

However, the difference is Floyd will stop a Super Welter Cotto
