From his comments I take it Yearzero never sparred in his life, and probably has never been in a fight. + was probably picked on ( Im not poking fun at you if you were, just saying maybe you should sort it out with yourself). Also sometimes (for some people) its tough watching sparring, even though when you're in it (sparring) and it doesnt seem too bad and it's actually fun... from the outside it can seem very violent, have triggers for people, aplifying certain things... I had some issues with this and its one of the things that training boxing helped me with. Plus, man I hope youre doing the lower back exercise I suggested. Better to begin stretching it out before it turns into a serious issue. A few amateurs have developed it at the gym I train and my trainer has incorporated yoga stretches in the warm ups
Yeah ive stopped trying to explain myself to him now, i get what your saying bro and i agree, anger towards others doing well is always a curious one. Ive been doing a little stratching but not as much as i should be
Go **** yourself. I spar twice every week (work permitting). I see beginners vs experienced guys, fat vs thin, short vs tall almost every time. Maybe you dont have an eye for it but I do. Now plug your mouth up before you drown in your own bull****.atsch
why dont u stfu and move on, everyone with half a brain knows that you are a lying bs-ing snake, who tried to make himself look good and was exposed. trying to make light of it now, wont change anything.i suggest registering a new account.
Well, Im surprised you responded the way you did to op's vids. I also see new people come in and spar, and I can see how it could be his first time sparring or one of the first. Ive seen people do better and worst in their first spars..
The good: You have a quick step back if needed for defense; you bend well for straight body shots or hooks. Stamina looks to be better than average. Shot selection and combinations looks solid. Needs improvement. You push your jab too much. Snap it and add speed to it if possible. Your hand speed is average, and defensively whether you know it or not, I think you are open to a counter hook by a faster handed fighter who knows what he's doing. For your first time out Id give this a good mark. The real question is how long have you been in the gym? Usually it takes 2-4 months before live sparring is allowed.
Thanks for the constructive reply and positive comments In regards to my jab, it's terrible lol, the only thing I use it gr is range finding for a hook or right hand, I will try my best to make it useful. My speed is hopeless too, I dunno if I've made the right choice but I've tried to focus on power and baiting shots. As I'm not fast enough to pick them apart Our trainer let's anybody in to spar, it's not really time dependant, just as long as you know how to take care of yourself.
Lol I'm not registering another account, got nothing to hide from. Either way what your saying is what you believe, even though I know what happened. Just because you think you know boxing doesn't mean you are right. How about the alternative, I HAVE been training for 2 years, perhaps I picked it up faster than some, everyone's different. Besides I have plenty of videos from last week where I'm getting smashed against the better guys in the gym. Now if I uploaded that as a first spar I bet your oppinion would be different. Morale of the story - just cause I'm landing a lot on this guy, it doesn't mean **** about my overall ability I.e good boxers still kick my a$$
keep denying. anyone can smell your bs from a mile away. like the guy constantly saying "it wasn't me" this is getting boring now so I'll leave you to wallow in your own filth.

I can offer more thoughts and input. May I ask for your height, weight and reach? You might have the ingredients to use the Carlos Monzon style. A fighter needs to build his game around his strengths, and be wary and minimize his weaknesses. Style, tactics, and such can matter. There are two types of speed in combat sports. 1 ) The striking speed of the hand, foot, elbow, etc... You can increase speed a bit if you work on the speed of the moving parts. For boxing I believe the speed is in the elbow and wrist, more so than the shoulder / hips / legs. Focus on short bursts of speed with the elbow and wrist moving about a foot away from the bag. Don't go for power, go for speed. Loosen the fist a little to add speed. 2 ) Mental speed. How quick you see the opening and pull the trigger. As Bruce Lee aptly put it. I don't think, it hits back. If you work on points #1 and #2, your speed can move from average to above average.
Found that uncomfortable to watch. The fat kid stood on the ropes and did nothing. Not in a million years has he had 5 fights. Unless they were as a youth. Also don't believe this is your first spar. U look far too relaxed and move about too good for a first spar IMO. Unless u are naturally relaxed. My first spar I got nailed lots, I certainly wasn't moving in an out, laterally, throwing hooks, combos, and counter punching as you were. Or maybe your a natural
If your in there with someone you can beat, you are going to look confident. The OP did not say how long he has been working on things, only that this was his first session. He was giving up some size, just not skills!
Very impressive if that is genuinly only ur second time sparring ever. The other guy didn't look in the best of shape but u looked good. You used ur jab very well.
