WTF are you talking about.. atsch RJJ was completely out of it before the last punch was thrown, your more delusional than Mosley
Calzaghe most certainly would have been ranked high enough, and he'd have provided Jones with a much bigger challenge than almost all of his other LHW opponents. He'd ultimately have been beaten, but it's completely disingenuous to put him in a lower category than a lot of the questionable opponents Roy feasted on in his better days.
A disgrace to all-time greatness, that's what he is. His record is pure **** and not even you or the other 20 delusional fans of his could change his record. If he wanted to dominate a division the first step is unification, he unified in his last few fights against up-comers. An all-time great doesn't drop from #2 P4P to #3 in his last fight after coming out victorious. Arguably an all-time great in Wales, surely.
I agree Smoger could have done a better job, But I also think some of this lays on Dennis as well, he could have easily just allowed Jones to fall face first with out that final shot as it was clear as a bell to me he was out on his feet
NO. You can't hate a fighter for fighting. If he'd stopped, Roy could've been coming up with a big shot of his own, he wasn't to know. And these things happen in a split second. Roy Jones did something similar with an opponent in his prime, where he signalled for the ref to stop it when he had him hurt, and when the ref didn't step in he thought **** it and knocked the bloke out cold. It's the refs responsibilty to stop it, not the fighter's
thing i remember was he said he wasn't going for an early ko and was expecting a hard fight. He's also stated before that Jones was his idol growing up.
Hopefully, RJJ will pay some of his debts down and call it a career. He's really beginning to tarnish his career getting knocked out by C level fighters.
