    Incidentally, I have now officially watched the fight 3 times all the way through. The mini battles of positioning in this tactical chess match were nothing short of fascinating to watch as they unfolded with shifting momentum.

    You went into making this video with a goal to somehow find 7 rounds for ward.

    I gave round 3 to Kov and 4 to Ward, other than that I agree with your assesments. Looking forward to rematch.

    In the rematch, Kovalev must use the jab a laughable amount, be very aggressive, manhandle Ward where possible AND COMPLAIN TO THE REF about Ward's antics the way Lomachenko complained about low blows against Gamalier Rodriguez. He should also have a counter ready for Ward's left hook and be willing to fight his fight more (superb linear attack). Ward would reset to make it suit himself, Kovalev should do the same. If we saw Kovalev incorporate angles into his game, we could've seen him counter Ward's body shots well, but Kovalev doesn't do that.

    This is a BIG BUL****, you loose my respect as this edition was so manipulating. No way round 3 and 12 should be Ward's rounds.

    Rummy no one is going to convince the boxing Alt Right that Ward won, because in their mind he loss before the fight started.
    Think about how Chelimba was robbed on some of the scorecards in Russia. They had it a clean sweep for Sergey when we all know he looked confused and lost at least 4 rounds in that fight.
    He faded after the 4th round and was missing shots. Now you have guys taking off the mask and going full racist ****** over a sport they probably never made money in or on.

    I always tend to believe that rematches usually favor the guy with the higher ring IQ. So I'm inclined to think Ward probably learned more about Kovalev going into a rematch than Kovalev learned about Ward. But all the same, Sergey is something very special, and I know he genuinely believes he was hosed on the cards. So he will come in with something to prove, and given the fact that a lot of people feel Ward lost, Andre will also be coming in with something to prove.

    So I think you can maybe throw conventional wisdom out the window on this one. But I also do feel that Ward will understand the range and angles better for chapter 2.
