I can only think of Holmes and Tyson. Michael Spinks is rightfully so a Hall of Famer, but his reign as heavyweight champion was too short to separate him from the Mike Weaver and Tony Tubbs and the others for that matter. he only defended his title twice (three times if you count his linear defense against Gerry Cooney).

Tyson Fury was born in 1988 so isn't he technically an 80's, heavyweight champion.

Based on championship fights that happened in the 1980s, you're saying you would rank Tony Tubbs ahead of Spinks?

If you’re serious, which I hope you’re not it’s Mike Tyson not Tyson Fury.

Just imagine if Holmes was unified/undisputed champion. I reckon at about 1985 stage it’s a question of who gets that version of Holmes first. Michael Spinks or Pinklon Thomas. Holmes by then was weary and no longer the fighter he was. Would be easier to rate then. But as it stand I reckon the following:
1 Holmes. 2 Tyson. 3 Thomas. 4 Witherspoon. 5 Spinks. A motivated Tubbs, Page and Dokes could have made it one hell of an era.

We’re talking 1980’s heavy weight boxer. Not people born in 80’s named after such boxer. Or pets. Michael Gerard Tyson. That’s who it is. Better known as Iron Mike Tyson. Not Tyson Fury.
