<-------- Pernell doesn't like the San Antonio set up.

Being that this fight right here is of the same importance and magnitude. :D

Yea, I have a bad feeling about that. But Canelo may need the stack a little decked in his favor. Probably was the only way he was gonna fight him to being with.

Not worried about San Antonio as the venue. Trout lives in neighboring state (Las Cruces, New Mexico) and I think he has lots of fans in the area.

Trout has Al Haymon as his manager.

I still remember the Golden Boy promoted fight card in San Antonio featuring the main event, Pacquiao vs Barrera 1. I think something similar might happen to Golden Boy Promotions for this Trout-Alvarez fight, their boy losses the fight.

I'm just glad Trout is getting this opportunity despite the fact that he's already proven more in the ring. Cotto in MSG? No problem. Alvarez in the Alamodome? No problem.

It seems Saul's handlers (the Reynosos) were nervous.

I laughed when one of the suits mentioned that fight as part of San Antonio's rich boxing history. Yeah, it was probably the most important fight of the 1990s with the P4P #1-2 facing off and was that era's Mayweather-Pacquiao, but what happened with the decision was an absolute debacle and shame for the sport.

I give them all credit for stepping up to the plate, anyhow.
