I'm not saying Gerry Cooney is in Klitschko's league, nor am I saying Adamek is in Spinks', but this is how a Haye or an Adamek needs to fight to beat Vitali Klitschko...it's a matter of having the guts to move inside once in a while. Thank you, Mr. Spinks. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVEjDrprcHY&feature=player_embedded[/ame]
cooney had a **** jab, and he is throwing this ****ing uppercut all the time. wlad would keep spinks at distance with his ramrod jab and then knock him clean out. vitali would walk through spinks
I was thinking more Spinks-Holmes where you have the smaller fighter using mobility, angles, and an insurgent like attack against the larger man. Vitali Klitschko is getting older, slower, and he's had a handful of issues with his body. I think it would be wise if Adamek used movement and hand-speed to attack and then change angles.
Movement is key. Spinks is constantly moving and circling (something that Haye felt he didn't need to do!!). It's hard for big guys to get set when employing this tactic. However, Adamek is no Spinks.......
Good perspective, however, Klit is not rusty, shy or timid..... Cooney looked tuned in '87 for Spinks prior to the opening bell with his deep tan and all, but he was rusty as a doornail in a haunted mansion once the fight got going..... Klit can and will let go of the flying lead and put the pain on Adamek..... Adamek will move, stick and apply angles, but it won't be enough to off-set V.K. MR.BILLbbb
