Lol you sound like Floyd's publicist. Sure, you may have a point with respect to 24/7, youtube videos, and other shows. Yea yeah it's there to sell the show. But what's there to extrapolate on real documented domestic charges, assault, larceny, the racist rants, etc etc? to sell the show?

 

To respond succintly, the current charges against him, are just that. CHARGES. Too many act just because a person is accused of something, that they're automatically guilty. I mean its not his accuser has ever lied and made up criminal allegations against him before.

 

these are facts. and whatever good floyd does that are not highlighted by any form of media do not in anyway change these hard facts and do not neutralize or justify any wrongdoing he has done.

 

VERY BAD ANALOGY, IMO, my friend. First I would like to refer u to post #11 from eko718, very good post, btw. Second, how would u know what's in the vid? I mean, for all it matters he could very well be unlocking the biggest conundrums of science, ending world hunger, redeeming himself with a sincere apology, actions filmed on video, etc., etc.... There's always a chance 4 change in a person.... There's also always a chance we don't know that person at all, or very little as eko718 guy said. We just don't know, and making assumptions is just that, what JanesCK did... and u. BTW, just watch the video and then tell me, I just don't have time 4 it:yep. In any case, AND btw, I am by no means saying or implying that what I just said is what actually happens in the vids OR will happen with Floyd jr. I don't know or can't care if he wants to change or do any of that, BUT, I know I should never draw preliminary conclusions until at least watching the videos posted, which is the whole thing about the thread.:nut peace... outta here!

 

I'd just like to think I am a level headed person who views things objectively.

The only thing documented is that he's been accused of said offenses. What is interesting is how quickly people jump to the conclusion that he's guilty, seemingly out of dislike for the man. Whether he is guilty or not isn't the point however. The point is, you and I don't know the guy. We all makes mistakes and its not reasonable to define a person solely by their imperfections, while simultaneously discounting anything which may present that person in a different light.

It's not about whatever good he does neutralizing anything, its about who he is; and you don't know that person and can't know him truly based on the level of exposure to him that you have(and shouldn't judge even if you had 24/7 exposure). There doesn't need to be a balancing act between positive actions, mistakes and accusations. For those who are objective, reasonable human beings however, who are aware of the fallibility in us all including themselves, there should absolutely be a balance in PERSPECTIVE regarding things like this.

I have seen those clips in question many times. The important thing to recognize is that a youtube clip can make ANYONE look endearing. Stick a microphone in front of Jeffrey Dahmer or John Wayne Gacy and they could come across as equally affable. Point being, a thread like this utterly ridiculous to attempt to show "proof of Floyd's real character!". I don't know any more than you do what he's like on a moment to moment basis, but I do know it's a FACT he's been accused of Domestic abuse four times, his own community wants him gone, he abuses security guards and thinks he's above reproach, and he's a tax cheat. Guess what, Pacquiao may be every bit as much of ***** as Mayweather, but he isn't continually getting himself into self-induced legal quagmires like Floyd does.

I should add that being accused of domestic violence doesn't equate guilt.
You don't like his persona of this black thug/hip-hop/Money May/whatever and as a result anything negative automatically sticks and is a reference on his character. What's not usually emphasized is that the Money May persona has catapulted him to super stardom and was brought on by a business decision. If every single Mayweather appearance was presented like the videos in the thread people would ignore his legal issues because they'll see it as a case of a nice guy caught up in a bad situation.

Micheal Jordan was a compulsive gambler and notorious womanizer but the snippets that you saw of his life was presented to you in such a way that he was a likable guy.

Truth is we don't know Floyd Mayweather and that is the bottom line.

if the public new jordan was a gambler, i don't think he would have been disliked as much as floyd is now. fact is, people followed jordan not only for his talent, but moreso because they recognize the strong traits and personality that he has.

i can not imagine jordan talking **** about ewing and the knicks or malone on the internet, resorting to name calling and baseless accusations. i seriously would not have been a fan of jordan if he acted like that.

 

Then I would advise you to get a copy of 'Jordan Rules', which talks about Jordan punching out teammates (Steve Kerr), constantly belittling General Manager Jerry Karuse in front of his team and the media, Jordan's issues with the Triangle offense (thought it hurt his numbers), and Jordan's world famous trash talk ability (with Ewing being THE biggest target of all).

Then go get a copy of Jordan's Hall of Fame speech from last year, where he basically took a shot at EVERYONE in the NBA.

Jordan being a grade A asswipe, compulsive gambler, and undisciplined womanizer is WELL KNOWN in NBA circles AND the general media.

 

I understand this mother****er needs to fight Pac, Sergio or ****ing retire!
