Even the shell of Pac is the better win, but the phenomenon is the same.

I'd rather see the Mikey fight first, but the window is closing on a Pac fight (if it's ever going to get made)

I'd rather see the Mikey fight forsure..Loma schools him. Deserves a ton of credit if he does it too.

    Really?

His first fight back was against Rios. Not the heaviest hitter out there, but you can call Rios more of a puncher than not.

Had Ruslan beaten Algieri, it would have been Pacquiao-Provodnikov. Matthysse, Bradley, and Algieri all confirmed that Ruslan had seriously heavy hands. Algeiri said Ruslan hit him harder than Spence.

Vargas had decimated Sadam Ali and almost knocked Tim Bradley out.

Horn had 12 KOs in 16 fights heading into the Pac fight... not known as a huge puncher, but name another guy as small as Manny who could take Horn's flush shots.

Danny Garcia is a puncher, but he ducked Pac and rejected a $4 million offer to lose to Thurman instead.

So... Pac was kept from punchers?

Relative to his prime Pac is on the downside in terms of performance and numbers. Lomachenko wants prime opponents.
Rigo was a better legacy fight than Pac would be, and it was still tarnished by the weight issue. Rigo was undefeated and an elite operator.
What can you really say about Pac now? It would be like Lomachenko fighting Mosley or Gamboa. It’d be a fun fight and I wouldn’t mind seeing it, but it would also be a waste of time since a win over Pac now means close to nothing. You may have noticed that Lomachenko isn’t really that motivated by money either.
Beating any of the belt holders at 130 or 135 is more meaningful than a Pac fight at this point in time.

Sosa and Marriaga were not legacy fights. Nor were they money fights. Why did Loma take those fights?

Huh? Danny Garcia himself said that he was offered $4 million. Broner also turned down $4 million. Rios may not have welterweight power against actual welterweights, and Horn may have KOs against a terrible group of opponents, but did you forget that these guys outweigh Pac by 15 pounds on average?

Do you think Loma, Mikey, or Linares can take power shots from Rios and Horn, both of whom were over 160 against Pac? You don't think Bradley would be able to hurt Loma if they fought at 140?

Because no other belt holders would agree to fight Lomachenko at the time. It was either them or nobody. Do you even follow the sport?

Oh I get it now. You’re a diehard Pac fan, not a fan of boxing.

Lowball? Danny made $2 million for the Thurman fight. Idiot.

I'm simply tearing apart your argument that Pac was kept away from punchers.

But your argument was that Lomachenko wanted legacy, and not money. Sosa and Marriage do nothing for his legacy.

If Lomachenko just sits out a year because no one wants to fight him then do you think that could possibly affect his performance against Linares/Garcia etc.? Do you think a sub-par performance in a legacy defining fight might have a detrimental impact on his legacy?

I'm a Lomachenko fan, but it's obvious he wants no part of Pac. His manager said the weight difference would be outrageous (not true). Literally no one would say that Pac wouldn't be the single best win on his resume.

I don't think he wants to fight Pac either. He explained it himself in another interview, he wants fights that are meaningful.
Do you rank Jeff Horn above Lomachenko? We all know Pac is done and beating him means nothing. I think Pac would have handled Floyd in his prime, I don't even give Floyd credit for that victory. I also don't give Pac credit for beating DLH. Lomachenko beating Pac will just be put in that basket and forgotten about. Loma vs prime Pac at 135 would have been a dream come true. Loma vs Pac now at any weight is just a waste of Lomachenko's prime in a meaningless fight. If Pac fights at 140 and looks good then it might become more viable. But we have seen what fighters look like when they move down in weight at the late stage of their career. Let's just be honest about all this. Lomachenko is being honest and realistic, that's why he isn't interested in Pac.
