Awesome find, I've heard about this, but have never actually seen it. I can also recall Vitali claiming he lost that fight because of an injury..

Are you sure you aren't thinking of his first round stoppage loss in the amateurs, to Oleg Maskaev? AFAIK that is the one he attributes to an injury. (no footage known to exist, though, so his word against Maskaev's...)

Something about a foot/knee/shin/heel to the jaw and being dropped.....

Its amazing the frequency of the coincidence.

I think someone should look into that phenomena:think

You can clearly see it is Vitali don't go there.
He recovered in his career so it does not mean all that much. Kickboxing is a much harder sport than boxing. A kick to the face it a lot worst than a punch. If you fight long enough you will lose at some point. Look at Vitali's career and look at Pele's.

I don't think so he was not out cold there. I seen him take Lewis's best shots so his chin is fine. Wlad on the other hand is pure china

The opposite seems true. Corrie Sanders stunned Vitali with one counter punch on the chin, and he made him run for dear life... He almost knock him down at the end of the very first round.
Vitali's chin is overrated, only because Lennox couldn't knock him down in spite of Vitali's lack of any defence watsoever, it doesn't mean his chin is that unreal. Lennox's ko percentage is good, but a lot of fighters have a better one. Lennox tired quickly, losing snap and throwing few punches.
Wlad, on the other hand, has never been knoccked out, and never even knoccked down by single punches...
All the evidences shows that he is the one with the better chin between the two. :deal
