I would not call it awful. He was peppering McBride at will with good leather, especially with the overhand right, had some combos and went to the body often. Many clean hard shots landed. He´s got some nice fundamentals which is why he was able to land over McBride´s looping shots. He´s slow, but what in the world do you expect for a guy his size?
So a guy throws a shitty right hand and puts a guy on a stretcher in a hospital. ****, I wonder what a good right hand shot of his will do.
I just didn't think he looked that good. A bit sloppy, lethargic, and slow. He is a big man, but Robert Helenius is aswell, and he's a lot sharper and faster than Wach, whilst still having arguably a less defined body. It could have been an off night for Wach, because he looked good against Hammer, but I didn't see much to be inspired from against McBride.
I guess this kills the argument that more weight means better punch resistance. I hope McBride recovers soon and all is well for him
If you think the result of that fight was more indicative of Wach's power than McBride's abysmal Glass Jaw then YOU, kiddo, don't understand punch resistance and would do yourself credit to read Chinchecking threads and educate yourself on the importance of mandibular fortitude in boxing!:roflatsch
Adameks wins looks terrible, a 10 fight novice stopped Mcbride, Adamek is getting destryoed by Klitschko.
Yeah, I noticed how slow they were too. Keep in mind that this Wach guy was pretty much destroying Sosnovsky in their sparring sessions before the Klitschko fight
mcbride has now lost 6 out of 7 in the last 5 years, the lone win a split dec 3 rounder over a 15-3 prizefighter tourney fighter... people wonder why guy get carried out on stretchers..... lets match up this guy who has one win in 5 years against and undefeated prospect who is 6 foot 8
Chincheckers....lol....the court jesters of ESB and the butt of many jokes around here. Do you have a membership card and an affiliate number too?
Exactly. This is a classic case of a glass jaw getting badly shattered. I have mixed feelings about these older china-chinned fighters getting licensed, frankly. On the one hand, a guy should be able to make a living, on the other.....
It's a conundrum, really, as they're risking dying to make a living. On the flipside, however, Glass Jawed Jokes are the least risk for dying in the ring because their Fragile Glass Mandibles shatter before the prolonged abuse that kills fighters takes place.
