Bédard said a couple of times that he was talking to Ward's camp and that they were opened for a fight. Goosen is doing his job in keeping many options viable in his hands.

How much is HBO willing to spend on a Ward-Dawson in September is the only question deciding who Ward will face next. $$$

If Ward beats Dawson, I'll put him in the Marquez, Mayweather and Pacquiao range.

I would rather see Ward vs Bute first. Unless Froch somehow manages to KO him, in which case never mind.

Great fight for true boxing fans.

It won't be all pretty, but you can be sure it'll be one of the most technical matchups in all of boxing, and I sure as hell will stay up watching it.

Excellent. Good that Ward sticks to what Chad said but for the sake of Chad who I also enjoy and respect, the fight should not be made under 170 pounds cause Chad is too big. All members, heard what they said about strategy and snore fests with the mention to Floyd Mayweather? Learn, boxing is not just about huge punch affairs such as Corrales (RIP) vs Castillo, McClellan - J Jackson, Benn vs McCllelan, Ward vs Gatti (RIP), Angulo vs Kirkland 1st round, Martinez-PW I & II, Hagler -Hearns, there is a whole lot more lot to it, the Toney-McCallum, Nunn-Liles, Hopkins-Dawson II, Trinidad-Hoya, Ward's fights, Mayweather's fights and Hopkins fights, these guys are not known for nothing... Stay fit, athletic, smart, hit and don't get hit, this is the sweet science folks.

The fight is in 2 weeks not 3 months...if Bute loses and there is need for a rematch then don't wait, go for Dawson....if Bute beats Froch better than Ward did then what ?

A 50/50 fight. Hopkins neutralized many of Dawson's offense because he forced him to use his left hand more, Hopkins still lost convincingly because Dawson is just that good.

It's not to say Dawson is a one handed boxer because Dawson has shown in the past he can throw the left cross with regularity when he was with Floyd Sr and Eddie Muhammad. That's what happens when you constantly switch trainers. This is something Dawson needs to work on with John Scully.

If Dawson is a two handed boxer like he showed against Adamek and Johnson, I think he will win the fight.

Ward has a very good chance of beating Dawson. I wasn't really impressed by the way dawson fought bhop. Though it could just be the way bhop fights ( styles make fights ) even though bhop really showed his age that night.

It will be interesting to see how Ward handles someone as athletic and skilled as Dawson because up to now he's been fighting good opposition but ultimately guys with big holes in their game. Because of this I'm still not fully sold on Ward yet but a Dawson win would prove a lot.

Well Hopkins said take away Dawson's jab, he is nothing. That is half true, because Dawson's strength is from his right hand. He is kind of like Miguel Cotto.

There was many times in the fight where Dawson would corner Hopkins and Hopkins was open to the left-cross, but Dawson wouldn't throw it. Hopkins would throw the right hand in retaliation. To Dawson's credit, Dawson showed amazing defense as well. Pascal exposed this flaw when he fought Dawson, and Hopkins obviously took a cue from Pascal.

Hopefully Bad Chad does not go down to 168. If he can get at 175, he should win.
