Rummy, to me Fury is a forgotten talent. As of now Joshua is number 1, and Wilder is number two. I just don't see fury getting back to his former self. He's a one hit wonder.
Unfortunately, Fury will never be the fighter he once was. He's the most skilled and most 'natural' fighter of these 3, but awful lifestyle already made him a retired fatty at his late 20s.
Good video Rummy. And I agree with your assessments across the board, and I loved the ominously edited potential foreshadowing with Wilder dropping Stiverne and Wlad dropping AJ.
Skills wise Fury >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>AJ and Donkeypotamus
Interesting to see you compare it to the 90's era. I guess Fury is more like Bowe the once champion, side lined by his poor self discipline looking to prove himself again Joshua could be Tyson the cash cow puncher, or perhaps Lewis the cerebral boxer/puncher Wilder doesn't really compare to anyone in that era, maybe Tyson, the American that relies on speed and power over technique Maybe Parker is Holyfield the smaller heavyweight on the scene that everyone is over looking I think Fury does have the potential to beat them all but I think that fighter is gone. Just like Bowe he really only shone brightly for a few fights then imploded. We won't see Fury like he was.
For the record, I am definitely inclined to pick Joshua if that fight were to happen next. But I do think those straight rights could be troublesome for Joshua, and while I don't think Wilder has the timing & accuracy Wlad has, I think Wilder is a bit faster and far more willing to let his hands go.
Maybe not. But one thing Emanuel always said is that Fury has unbelievable determination. Will he become the next Bowe? Or is he still young enough that he can get hungry again? If his hunger returns, I have to believe his self-belief that he can beat Wilder and/or Joshua can motivate him. So I wouldn't write him off too quickly just yet.
And for the record here, I wasn't really trying to make a direct comparison between the talent levels of Tyson-Holy-Lennos & AJ-Wilder-Fury. It's more of the fact that, things seem competitive again, and I don't think winners in any would be match-ups between AJ, Wilder, and Fury are a foregone conclusion. It's not meant as a slight against the Klitschkos. It's just that when they reigned, we never got to see the best 2 heavyweights of the era square off. Hopefully these 3 can produce a memorable round robin.
