An in shape and motivated Fury would have the natural skills and engine to beat everyone. Unfortunately, I doubt we will ever see that again. File in the same cabinet as "a fit and focused Kevin Mitchell" and "an Amir Khan who sees the big punch coming and/or knows how to clinch!". But, I am not ruling it out, and now feel a little more optimistic than I did. I do not think Fury is motivated anymore by a love of the sport, glory, or money. When he beat Wlad, he achieved everything he could ever want by those measures. But, I reckon he might still be motivated to prove doubters wrong or just ****-off the "establishment" - and disparaging Tweets by Joshua etc could be the jump-start he has needed. I think Joshua should be encouraged to keep Tweeting insults at Fury to encourage him to keep in training. Incidentally, like many others, I initially thought Fury was more freak and buffoon than talent. An anecdote that made me think twice was told by Steve Bunce. He said that years ago Fury was paid handsomely to be a Klitschko sparring partner. Wlad / Manny Stweard had always liked bringing in promising young heavy-weight (Joshua, Washington, Wilder etc) for sparring - ostensibly for specific fight preparation but really to scout potential future opponents . It never harms if an opponent has memories of being beaten up in sparring whilst a rookie on their minds. Supposedly though in this case, Manny saw Fury shadow boxing and training and warned Wlad off. Fury was paid a fortune to stay in Wlad's camp in Austria but never ever actually sparred - he just trained on his own whilst Manny and/or his assistants watched and took notes. Manny supposedly thought Fury was just too dangerous and might upset Wlad and dent his confidence, and possibly learn more from Wlad than vice versa.
Don't watch it salty dog, he left out Parker who has a better resume than Wilderr. How can you leave out a belt holder critics will rip this man apart
Simple really the fury that beat klitschko would beat both aka no wilder in the same month. Now I have it Aj as number one wilder two. Not many fighters have destroyed their body had two years out and come back the same fighter so fury number 3 for me.
Yeah I was surprised at how good he looks given the amount of extra blubber he's carrying and the abuse he's put his body through.
Dave Allen on Tyson Fury 'Although there isn't many notable names on Allen's nine-bout record the Yorkshireman has made a name in boxing circles with tough sparring with some of the world's best including; Tyson Fury, Wladimir Klitschko, Artur Szpilka and Anthony Joshua. Fury's trainer and uncle Peter has been quoted as saying “you could hit Dave Allen with a baseball bat and he'd probably just smile”. High praise from a man not known for mincing his words. “I've sparred Klitschko, Szpilka, Fury and I rely on my strength and toughness. I know I'm not the biggest heavyweight around but I'm on a guy from the start and, unless an opponent lays me out, I'll carry on being on them until the end. Richard Towers will find that out next month. It's going to take a special fighter to beat me and I'm borderline delusional in (my confidence) to how far I can go.” I ask who impressed him the most in all of his sparring sessions with the above men? “Tyson Fury” Allen replies without a moment's hesitation. “Tyson Fury is levels above anyone else and I've said it before; the only person who can beat Tyson Fury IS Tyson Fury. Fury's got this size and the skill, speed and finesse he uses with it makes him miles ahead of anybody in the world.” “Anthony Joshua is a special talent but he doesn't have the boxing ability Fury has. I really don't see anyone being able to challenge Fury for many years to come.” “I've been sparring Joshua since 2011 even before the Olympics. I'm a big fan and the excitement he's brought to boxing is amazing but, having sparred around 500 rounds with him I truly believe I can beat him. I know that and Anthony knows that. I don't see me getting the fight as he's going to be moving on but I'd love to prove myself and he's definitely beatable and I've got his number.”
Tyson fury is by far the best He has the better ring IQ, boxing skills, movement & hes very hard to time/predict He gives both AJ and wilder lessons in boxing
That's exactly what they'll be saying when the Furious One reclaims his rightful place at the top of the HW division.
