He hasn't got a 'slave contract' now. He's got one rematch clause for Valuev, if Valuev wants it which doesn't seem the case at the moment. Pretty standard for a heavyweight champ.

Ruiz and Chagaev/Meehan are mandatories and nothing to do with the contract.

Yea fighting and beating Valuev for the belt just isn't serious enough.
Sounds like wlads excuses for ducking have already started.

    Translation:

"He already got robbed blind, just on his own terms."

A fight against Ruiz, a rematch with Valuev, and a fight against the interim title winner--Chagaev or Meehan.

Wow, that is so much better than fighting 2 Klitschkos and possibly becoming the biggest thing at heavyweight since Lennox Lewis.

Yeah but the difference could be the Ruiz and then Chag/Meehan fights are likely on his terms, exactly. He's not tied in for 3 fights with the brothers on a challengers terms.

It's not. Valuev was a bum. He was ranked 7 at heavyweight before he fought Haye. He was clearly on the slid. And as everyone knows he got beat up by old Evander Holyfield. Sorry, but there were probably 10 other heavies that could have done what Haye did. Still, he is an interesting fighter and he could possibly give both the Klitschkos a run for their money. But anyone who says he's proven himself as a great or even good heavyweight is smoking something. He's proven he can beat a washed up former contender and a weak title holder on the slide.

The point I was making is that he is tied into to a 3 fight deal with Don King...which means that he has to fight these three fights next, he has no say. The downside, of course, is that this deal likely means that he will never be able to prove himself against Vitali Klitschko. Vitali will be 40 before Haye completes these fights, and there little chance he'll still be around.

Wrong. King has a 3 fight option on Haye. I'm sure it's just a coincidence that all three fights are with Don King fighters. Use your head.

It's not that much of a huge deal, Valuev was complaining he doesn't like fighting small guys, I don't think he wants a rematch. Ruiz and Chagaev, not exactly bad fights and if he gets them done next year he's in a good position. Then I'm sure he'll gun for Wlad first anyway.

No, it means WBA's ass belongs to King. As it has done for many a moon in the heavyweight division. This circlejerk has been going on forever and is just continuing. Haye's team have every say in all the promotional aspects for this fight.

a 3 time rematch clause is a ***** manaouvre showing you have no confidence in your ability.

    Beat me once- Rematch
    Beat me twice- Rematch
Beat me three times- Fight my older Brother = *****

Plus the Kilits wanted a chunk of his setanta- Sky money which they would have contributed nothing to. + options on his future fights no that is not fair contract that is just normal for the so called heavyweight champion of the world. Im not a huge fan of Haye but the Kilts are pussys.

I dont even see Haye as a HW champ even if he has a belt. The best fighter he has faced is Mormeck to date

Ruiz is a mandatory, and Haye needs the activity and experience.

Valuev rematch is pure speculation, I really don't see it happening. If it does Haye will take it again, possibly by TKO given round 12 of their first meeting.

Fighting Meehan/Chagaev: the latter is preferable and a decent name to have on the resume. Especially if he Haye takes him out quicker/easier than Wlad did.

I think then Haye is done with King; it's a 3 fight deal right?
