    Charlie "Devil" Green KO 1 Ray Anderson

    Devil Green is the fan favorite clubfighter probably best known as the fighter plucked from the stands as a last minute sub to face Jose Torres, after the real opponent inexplicably didn't show up. Green then shocked everyone by dropping Torres twice before Torres caught him with a desperation right and flattened him. Green later went on to score this win here, probably the biggest over his career, over highly rated LHW contender Ray Anderson. Shockingly, Green blasted him out in the first round with a single right hand. Even more shocking is that Anderson went the full 15 round distance with Bob Foster in a title challenge after this, when he was supposed to be washed up. Green was never able to capitalize on the momentum of this win. Soon afterward, he was KO'd by a comebacking Floyd Patterson and his career went into sharp decline. In his final fight, he was KO'd by an up-and-coming Larry Holmes. Today he sits in a prison cell, having been convicted of a brutal series of murders.

    The Tommy Bell opponent is LaMotta, but I don't think the fellow fighting Coolidge Miller is Jake LaMotta (I don't know about Joey). Reasons--His style is quite different. Theoretically, he might have gone wild with a man hurt, but this fellow doesn't even throw punches the same way. He doesn't look like Jake facially in my judgement. Most damning of all--Jake had chest hair. This fellow doesn't. I don't think Jake suddenly shaved his chest for a fight. Also, although built similarly, Jake is more blocky.

    Coolidge Milller? You people get ahold of this footage, post for all to see, and have absolutely no idea what you are looking at. This is not Jake LaMotta vs. Coolidge Miller. This is Jake LaMotta's diamond belt winning performance in the amateurs in 1940 against James Miller.
