Great first-round action between HW prospect Hunter and former top LHW contender Anthony.

Roger Donaghue TKO 6 Jimmy DeMetrios:
    [yt]lA6nd7Xg1NU[/yt]

Highlights of a real "lost classic" between WW prospect Donaghue and journeyman "opponent" DeMetrios.

Jay Fullmer KO 2 Jim Morley:
    [yt]SDmlyYvi7SQ[/yt]

Here's footage of the "forgotten" Fullmer brother, Jay. Jay never did reach the heights in his career that his brothers Gene or even Don did, but he was considered a pretty good, exciting prospect at one time. He put together a mini win streak at the outset of his career, but things came to a crashing halt in his first big step up against aging veteran Joe Miceli. Miceli had been a top WW contender at one time, but had long since settled into the role of a gatekeeper by the time he fought Fullmer. Still, he had enough left to whack out Fullmer in 3 rounds. Fullmer's career never progressed much after that, but the loss to Miceli did set up an interesting "grudge match" between Miceli and Jay's older brother Gene, which saw Gene "avenge" his brother's loss by demolishing Miceli in two rounds.

"Irish" Jimmy Flood TKO 8 Artie Diamond, round 3:
    [yt]45nEQNnhIp8[/yt]

Flood was a popular New York clubshow and TV fighter in the late '40s and early '50s. He was often touted as "the next Rocky Graziano", but "a poor man's Graziano" is probably a better description of him. In his only two real steps up, against Charley Fusari and Rocky Castellani, he was beaten fairly soundly; but fighting below that level, he gained some distinction and success.

Freddie Steele's title-winning effort against Babe Risko:

    Part 1:
    [yt]pOY0tG0qzg4[/yt]

    Part 2:
    [yt]6GeuEfiI_d8[/yt]

The full fight at a closer-to-normal speed:
    [yt]HK4jUMO1kBc[/yt]

Steele had already beaten Risko in a non-title match. In this fight, Steele took charge at the outset and then controlled the fight thereafter, but the outclassed Risko made a game and gutty effort throughout.
