Dubai is quickly becoming the big brother of Vegas, in 5 years vegas will look like a mickey mouse club compared with Dubai. If they get some Casinos up and running what will Vegas have to offer that Dubai dosent? absolutely nothing.

It certainly is a bummer but as many have already said it was probably Vegas or nowhere. Plus of course, that greedy liitle Ray Hatton needs to make a decent wedge too

what sort of Historical significance does the Thomas and Mack have? If we are talking historical significance then all boxing matches should be in England, the birthplace of boxing.

    slightly off topic.

what share of the uk tv rights does arum get.

    basic flat fee ?

share of ppv which will be very high ?

does paq get anything from uk tv rights or are paq and hatton due to share american ppv money and keep there own share in there respective countires.

i dont beleive mayweather got anything from uk ppv for the hatton fight.

this fight should be on neutral ground, so England is out of the picture.

we were talking about a fair place to stage the fight, with all the Pac nuthuggers in the USA I would say Pac has home advantage over there.

Nope. You'll get at least 7000 Brits making the journey.

Listen, I would much rather the fight was in my back yard. But I cant offer the money of the casinos. So the fight will be in Vegas. It all comes back to the bottom line whether we like it or not.

In terms of what Vegas has to offer... I can only assume you havent been. If you had, you would know!

I agree, the world seems to cater for America, some of the biggest fights of all time have been outside the USA & there was no harm done, the fighters should speak up for themselves & tell Arum straight `listen dickhead, there would be no fight if not for the most important people, the fighters, so shut the **** up & get on board or sit this one out, your choice.`

Somehow I doubt that would happen but it should IMO.

Mate, leave the stereotypes at the door. Wembley has hosted more non football events than matches since it opened. NFL, Race of Champions, Concerts, Rugby, its an all purpose stadium.

As for the point that 'Vegas makes more money', the whole point of this thread was to ask ESB Users if they truly believed it truly makes more economical sense to have he fight there (as was put fwd by Arum) than to have it at Wembley? My views are, and I have thought about I a lot, is that a UK fight would majorly eclipse Vegas, period. Anyways, its what’s right and just for the paying fans:

1st fight in London, rematch in Manila! :)

As has been stated. Vegas brings more money to the table. That is the ONLY reason the fight is being held there.

Oh no, Arum loves to make money, but we all saw Hatton's shoelace brake over there vs Lazcano and the debacle that was his supposed shining moment, the Tszyu foul fest.

I wouldn't mind it being in England if they didn't have an English ref, the crowd I don't mind it, but when Hatton's team controls the refs the way they do over there, forget about it.

Hatton would be barreling in like mad, and if he got the edge the ref would be quiet, if Pac started roughing him up on the inside the ref would break them. Over and over.

If Pac nailed him and Ricky was hurt, we would get another shoelace stoppage, or if Pac hurt him with a body shot it would become a low blow, and he would get retaliated against etc etc.

Am I exaggerating this scenario? Why bother to take the risk?

Fight anywhere else but England vs Hatton. Jeesh.
