I personally thought after the disaster start in the first 2 rounds it was my boxing that won me that fight, like I said I've added more strings to my bow last night and I'll just move on from here and improve on things, I improved on my last performance I know that much!! I'm sick people saying I'm whinging to ref?? I done it once when I got butted but besides that I outfought him on the inside, I've seen the fight back and taking the first 2 rounds into account I'm happy how it went!! I'll learn from it and move on!! I won't dwell on it like I did last time as it affected my confidence and made me question myself, that won't happen after this however I'll alter a few things and go back to work in a week.. I'm happy people are saying I've found my level and I'm not all that cos that means there'll be no pressure on me to go any further and also means anything I achieve from here is a good achievement going by some of these posts... Thanks again for the support :good
Larry Holmes-levels of recovery. Feels he should be blasting this level of opp away early bit he needs to be patient and he'll get them out of there anyways. Cruiser is a must IMO. 25lbs of weight to stabalise himself, despite knockdowns his legs didn't look too shaky, he can stabalise himself further. Forget the Clev fight, most of us aren't interested in it anymore anyways. I love his warrior mentality. He can tighten it further, but I'd prefer to see him at a kore comfortable weight.
Keep up the good work Tony its all one big learning curve, dont know how you managed to clear your head after the 2nd knockdown. Who have you got in your sights next apart from clev?
I actually thought you looked pretty good from rnd 2 onward. I didn't think you looked awful in the first two to be fair (despite the KD's), that punch (KD 2) was a belter. I don't think i'd have ever got up from that Nice to see your old fella again mate, I actually thought he was too relaxed . Every ****er around was shouting advice and screaming different things and he was just stood there with his arms folded looking like he was wondering about his next dinner or something Does he get nervous?
I just think that Bellew is too slow to ever be world class. His punches are often telegraphed. This also means that his power will never be felt, because he's always just missing, glancing or overreaching to try and make it land.
Me old man shows it in different ways, he's actually scared to death and to be fair i nearly gave people who are closest to me a heart attack!! My mrs my team and my friends :-(
I'm not suprised!!! Haha, At least he's not jumping in the ring to try and protect you! A few people on here have said about issues you're having with the weight, do you fancy the move up?
I thought this might be a close one as McKenzie is no mug. Its a shame that so many people (Kopites?) had left by then as they missed a good fight. I checked on my phone at the end of round two and Bellew by KO was 13/2 so I was all over it! Thanks Tony:good
