Didn't he fail to drop Lundy even once? And that was an off night for Lundy, he performed horribly and later admitted his mindset wasn't right and he went in not even thinking seriously about winning.

I always thought people called him mini-Klychko because they look alike, they do.

Postol has serious skills but he doesn't utilize his height as much as he could most the time. I also highly doubt he has "Matthysse level punch resistance" which is a totally different thing. IT does sound like Roach and Postol plan on boxing and playing it safe for the first few rounds so if he makes it through those early rounds then it could become interesting but i don't see him winning it.

I do think Postol would thoroughly school Broner to an epic extent. Shut out level schooling.

You obviously know I'm one of the biggest champion of EE fighters on here, but admit, don't you think something fishy is going on here, the guy couldn't KO once KO'd bum Guiricio a few months ago and tonight he takes out Matthysse, and last year Aydin both never KO'd fighters with very good chins. Seems to me he doesn't want to risk it with the small fights but when he steps up into the spotlight on HBO he becomes an all of a sudden KO monster.:think

It's kinda weird actually, yeah. Both Lucas and Selçuk are tough fighters with good chins and they're also Postol's only noticable stoppage wins. I was schoked when I saw Selçuk go down like that. Maybe he just didn't go for it in the other fights, or maybe he was fighting way too cautious to hide his chin. I guess we'll just have to wait for his future fights and see :conf

I'm hoping that's the case and it was a clean win because I really want to like Postol after such a huge win and root for him, but usually where there's smoke there fire.:think

I'm also picking up on another pattern, Roach fighters always get revenge for him the second time around.

Bradley got the BS decision over Pacquiao, and Ruslan who couldn't hurt or drop Corley and Herrera nearly beats Timmy to death.

Martinez schools Chavez Jr. and Cotto turns into a covered with backne KO wrecking machine and stops Sergio.

Ruslan gets beaten down by Matthysse and tonight a far lesser puncher than Ruslan in Postol KO's Matthysse.

I'm starting to think every time Roach's guy suffers a loss he wants revenge really really badly.:think

I remember Roach saying Postol was better than Algieri. He was right, obviously.
