Naw, you cats play that "He beat so-and-so better than he did" so he is greater baloney, but I don't play that flawed game. Styles make fights and believing that you'd defeat Lennox Lewis because he got KO'ed by Rahman while you Ko'ed Rahman is a failed strategy. :yep
Postol, for one lacks the power of Maldonado, and he doesn't even seem to have much better boxing skills. Even if Postol were capable of knocking Imam down once or even twice, I don't believe that will change the conclusion which will be a KO victory to Imam.

It's not who won the fight between Postol and Matthysse that fuels my opinion about the outcome of a Postol and Amir fight. Lucas could have won and I would voice the same opinion. Amir beats both their asses. I am an Amir supporter because I see greatness in him. He is working with a full clip and knows how to use it. His repertoire of punches and his punch selection is on hit. He throws up to five punch combinations when they need to be thrown. His jab is intelligent, hard and relentless. His movement is precise and fluid. He does not get rattled. He can get hit when executing his offense but he has a steller chin and when he is in defensive mode, it is a thing of beauty to behold. His power deserves respect or you will find yourself by yourself taking a nap. He has charisma and this is coming out party. The young man is a star and he will not be denied. So all you haters prepare yourselves to hate cause it ain't long now.:bbb

I'd pick Postol. Hard to envision any junior welter besides TC beating Postol.

Postol should be the favorite which will be ironic when Imam beats him since Postol was also the underdog against Matthysse.

You've been on the site so long, but you still DKSAB. The irony of a Brit calling someone glass chinned.

TC is the only one I'd favour over him to be honest, I think TC is special, whilst Postol is good he's not a special talent.

I'd like to see Imam against Peterson and Ruslan, but I don't think he's ready for Crawford.

    Agreed.
Although like GiGi he hasn't faced top talent yet, he seems to have all the tools to build a solid foundation for his future career.
The only worry I have for Imam is his being a Don King fighter.

I also am concerned with Don King being his promoter because King has a bad reputation with a lot of his ex fighters. However he will have to live with that right now. I just hope he didn't sell his soul to King and has an escape clause. Now, on to his skills as a fighter, he is gifted and a bonafide predator, he don't need any soft foods, he needs meat. Some fighters you have to bring along one level at a time but he's past that stage. He is already made. Now he needs to be sharpened and steel sharpens steel. Just like Pac, Ali, Mayweather, Duran, Pryor, He is that caliber and all he needs is a chance to prove it. I don't see any fighter on Postols or Crawford's resume that he couldn't beat.

There is no need for your Russian fear to show. :-(

You can find his image right there in Boxing Rec along with his stats.
