You're Welsh bias really is pretty embarassing sometimes. Anything more than a 2 point swing either way is very extreme in my opinion. I think the poll of people's scorecards on here after the fight shows that.

I've watched the fight 3 times and had Bellew up by 1 point every time. I can more than see the reason behind a draw and maybe even Cleverly by a point but it was that tight I can't see the justification in any scorecard with either man more than 2 rounds up. The 2 wide scorecards to Cleverly were amongst the poorest by British judges IMO this year, which is saying something.

Tony, as you've fought Cleverly and sparred Carl Froch, how would you see a fight between them going? :good

You're over reacting slightly. To say they were some of the worst this year is just plain silly.116-112 is perfectly fair, however it is the widest it could possibly be scored with most of the close rounds being seen in Cleverly's favour.

The big Welsh fight would be Clev versus Enzo Mac. I would give Enzo a decent chance. The trouble is, we are likely to get a few fringe WBO challengers before we get a unification fight. One interesting fight, that would raise Clev's profile (as suggested in the news section) would be against Edison Miranda.

I think Tony Bellew needs to keep active and progress, forget about Clev for now, boost the ratings, perhaps the promoters can get you a shot at Cloud or Shuemenov as a build up to Clev.

Would you fancy a shot at Edison Miranda? (Tony B - question?)

What decent fights are there at 175 lbs that CAN be made?

To my mind they were some of the worst. The fact that it wasn't a foreign fighter on the wrong end of them or the fact that neither was considered the 'house' fighter was the reason there wasn't the same cries of injustice we have seen in other cases this year IMO.

I think virtually every one on here said it was a very, very close fight in which could have gone either way. Certainly I didn't proclaim it a robbery though I had Bellew slightly up. But going by your scorecard, if Bellew had been given the decision (as many here thought he should have) you would have had to consider it a robbery? That's why I consider the margins of the judges scorecards' to be so ridiculous.

I would have considered the decision to have gone the wrong way if it was given to Bellew, yes. My maths isn't the best, but if I'd have scored two close rounds to Bellew rather than Clev that would've made it a draw, would it not? So what may seem like a wide card is easily turned into an 'acceptable' one.

If it makes you feel any better, I scored it 115-113 on second viewing. I think you'll find that more palatable.

It's not just 2 'close rounds' to score to Bellew. You've scored every 'close' round to Cleverly to score it 116-112. That might be seen as a bit more than a coincidence, ya know...

117-112 is just abysmal. I don't know how anyone couldn't have Bellew 3-1 up so to only give him 1 round after that is pretty gay to be honest.

Firstly, my sexuality has nothing to do with this.

Secondly, it's my card. It might be slightly biased in Clev's favour but I don't need to answer to anyone on that. I could've scored it 120-108 if I'd have wanted. :tong

It is the widest it could be scored with all of the clear, close and a some Bellew rounds going in Cleverly's favour. :)

So even you were unhappy with your score the first time round. :)

Maybe a third time will get you to 114-114.
