Marutjan fought Besputin and Yeleussinov in the amateurs, he was a good amateur and you can see that, good boxing skills but lacking power obviously as he can not crack an egg with his shots but he is more aggressive this round, trying to get close to his opponent. Solid round but as before he didn't rock/hurt him at all. I think Teffahi touched the canvas with his glove once but the ref didn't give him a count.

Marutjan slightly cut on his right eye but it doesn't look serious at all. Heads coming in often here so no surprise at all. Marutjan trying to walk Teffahi down with good movement, Teffahi sooner or later caught in the corner or at the ropes and Marutjan landing a couple of decent shots there but Teffahi fighting back although he is landing nothing. Good uppercut by Marutjan seconds before the bell ends the round.

Big overhand right landed by Marutjan but Teffahi doesn't look impressed. Teffahi going down but no knockdown, he was pushed down (more or less). Marutjan raising the pressure and Teffahi is running (literally). But no effective aggression, he is chasing him but lacking activity, should let his hands go instead of throwing those single shots all the time. Also almost no body work by Marutjan. And as i wrote it Marutjan landing a body shot, both clinching, Teffahi going down and ref is giving him a count. Teffahi complains but still gets the count. He tries to fight back afterwards but no shots landed by both men.

This is an awkward fight. One guy can't fight (Marutjan) and the other guy doesn't want to fight (Teffahi) so we have a lot of unclean action and clinching although Marutjan is dominating the fight clearly. But he lacks effective aggression. Just moving forward and chasing your opponent is not effective at all although it's enough to bet that guy. But Marutjan landing a couple of decent shots this round, at least clean enough but surely not big enough to stop Teffahi.

Marutjan clearly raising the pressure. But lacking accuracy. A bit boring now. Another headclash, Teffahi cut, doc checks him and give green light so they continue but only few seconds left. Thank god only two rounds left.

Teffahi caught in the corner and Marutjan stand in front of him, his coach Wegner shouts "What are you waiting for??" and Marutjan still doing nothing. Lacking abilities to throw more than one or two punches lol. Not impressed at all by Marutjan although Teffahi is solid and only here to survive.

Marutjan landing a HUUUUUUGE right hand, wow, the shot of the fight, perfect timing, connecting clean as **** and Teffahi KTFO. He makes it barely back at 10 but the ref stops the fight. Legit stoppage. Best shot of the whole fight - BY FAR. Nice KO.

 

Ahmad Ali vs. Denis Krieger 12 rounds @ Super Welterweight

 

This has the potential to be a really, really good fight. Ali (13-0-1) is better technically but obviously is a safety first fighter and i also think his power is overrated as his record is soooo damn padded. Krieger on the other side has fought some really good names like Ilbay, Baraou, Formella, Keles and Osipov and he looked really good there. He is definitely better than his record of 14-7-2. Krieger is also a former german champion.

Entertaining first round. Krieger is lacking a good defense at the beginning, too open, Ali landing a couple of good and clean shots but Krieger looking dangerous as **** and definitely more powerful.

Krieger leaves himself too open after throwing, Ali landing a couple of good counter attacks. Ali moving and picking his shots very well. Really good fight so far.

Another very entertaining round. Krieger as before is defending very sloppy, Ali landing a lot and also some bigger shots but Krieger has a hell of a chin so he isn't rocked but he has to be cautious. Krieger also too wide with his hooks. Needs to box a bit more intelligent.

Krieger more active this round and probably also a way more accurate but still Ali outworking him, landing cleaner and more shots throughout the round.

Ali slowing down a bit, lower output and he isn't moving as smoothly as before. Krieger doing some good work and pressure this round, he rocks Ali late.
