Panzienza weighed 168 pounds vs RJJ which in the 50's would've made him a light heavyweight. So let's say that instead of fighting Bobo Olson, Moore fought Panzienza on his way to Marciano. How does this fight go?

Moore knocks him out early with a lethal right hand counter

It doesn't make much sense in, well, any way. It's not a competitive or good fight, and I see nothing that links the two or something that somehow makes this one interesting. Just my two cents anyway.

Vinnie would have been like a bad marinara sauce with no garlic in it.

Can you imagine what his skin would look like after a handful of rounds against a puncher the level of Moore? Look at what tiny lightweight Greg Haugen was able to do with him!

I would legitimately not be surprised if this fantasy fight ended with Paz having to be taken from the ring on a stretcher, morbid as that sounds.

He seemed to (at least at first) be competitive with prime Roy Jones, which is why I wondered about this in the first place. And not really in a "who would win" sense, but in a "how competitive is this fight" sense.

i don't think this would be a bad fight, vinny is as tough as they come, but money's still on Moore by knock out.

Boboish. A new boxing term. LOL (when in reality, Bobo's reign at MW is not that bad.)

Competitive? It was one of the least competitive title fights I have EVER seen in ANY division. Roy toyed with and thoroughly embarrassed the clueless Pazienza. In one round, Paz did not land even one single punch. The next round, Jones closed the show. Roy could have stopped Paz in one round if he had felt even the least bit threatened by Vinny. Unless the Mongoose was in a charitable mood, that fight would not last very long.

I"m not knocking the man .. just saying that Paz may last that long .. maybe .. if he runs .. if he tries to get cute maybe not as long .. its been rumored that Mr. Moore could punch just a little bit ..
