I had the pleasure of being able to interview "The Pazmanian Devil" Vinny Paz recently and written up a piece on him. Just wanted to share it here in case anyone was interested - if you're not though just ignore the thread. Cheers This content is protected
Good job. Has anyone seen the biopic? Seems like there have been a lot of boxing films made in recent years.
UPDATE: The biopic is called Bleed For This and has just today been released on Netflix! After learning so much about Paz through research for the article I loved the film - a real underrated boxing film imo.
Also Vinny got in touch and said he really enjoyed the article and wished me a happy birthday, not sure if anyone else is bothered but thought it was great from him to contact me again when he didn't have to. He also got in touch with a British paraplegic who read the article to give him support with his injury. Vinny is a real top man
Always enjoy this st Always enjoy reading a boxers take on stuff. He seems a great bloke. Nice to hear he's happy and thanks for putting this up mate
The mental strength is what really makes the man and there are not too many guys like Vinny in history. He took the Bruce Lee route and defied medical science and not only walked, but boxed again. Mental Juggernaut!!!!
Don't think Vinny feels the same way about his own film! He hinted towards it in my interview and he's talked before about how Hollywood didn't include enough of his career and actually sued the company that made the film as they apparently forged his signature - according to Vinny.
WTF is Vinny wearing on his head? Looks like a Fruit of the Loom pair of shorts. This content is protected
If that's the case I don't know what to believe. I remember listening to a Sky Sports boxing podcast a good view months ago where they interviewed Paz and discussed the film with him and he complimented it saying just how true to life it was. Who knows.
