Haugen gets credit for being one of the most hardcore little ****ers I've ever seen though... I saw him right before the first Nave fight when he was on the downslide, and he's as scary as Darch, just a real mean looking, hard talking sonofabitch. Mancini I've met several times, as he's really into BJJ and I've seen him around BJJ tournaments and at Gracie Academy. A more personable guy you'd never want to meet. I mentioned the Bramble fight to him and he went into this long analysis of the fight, gave reasons why he lost to Arguello, and generally just hung out with me and shot the **** for no good reason except he likes to talk boxing with boxing fans.

I think that all three fighters were pretty much on the same level. Of the three Ray is my favorite.... Haughen was tough as nails and won a lot on the road... Paz stayed in the game too long though... in the end I will say Boom Boom

Paz had more potential, but never lived up to it.

It is hard to rate these guys objectively. Mancini had the most dominant style of them all and the most exciting and conclusive. Haugen was the most understated and probably the best counterpuncher, and Vinny moved up in weight more effectively than all of them since he had better boxing skills to deal with stronger guys. I would say Mancini beats all of them at 135, but Vinny's overall career was more of a complete career. But I suppose it looks like Mancini is the best, then Vinny and then Haugen.

Pazienza had great head movement and was good at creating angles, but Boom Boom had it all.

We are not talking about his brainpower or personality or his abrasiveness.
    The guy could box.
Neither Mancini or Haugen could box a lick.

People may have hated Paz but he had more boxing skill and speed than both Mancini and Haugan. Especially when he was trained by Kevin Rooney. He dominated Haugan in their third fight with his speed and defense. Mancini was the best overall fighter out of all these guy's.
