Mancini in his prime was a full level or two above Haugen and Paz. Anyone who thinks differently is a fool.

Defiitely Haugen for me, loved going to other peoples backyards to whoop ass, never afraid of a challenge, fought everyone at his weight, and had possibly the biggest win out of all three in beating a prime Macho Camacho.
Three time titlist too, cant hate on that resume!

Haugen had the best boxing skills
Mancini the most effective in his prime would beat these 2 at lightweight in his prime, the Mancini who fought Arguello was prime.
Pazienza- A case can also be made for vinnie being effective in jumping from LW to SM. thought his best weight was JM although he didnt stay long.

    I voted Mancini.

You've obviously never seen a PRIME Camacho, if you think he was prime vs Haugen.

    He also got robbed.

Point deduction in the 12th round for not touching gloves at the start of the round?

Come on!!! It was a SD too! The referee won the fight for Haugen.

True, but the fight was only close in the first place cause Hector was past it.

Prime for prime Camacho beats Haugen in near shutout fashion.

Vinny Pazienza had more depth to his career than Ray Mancini did, but for the brief period that those guys were prime, Boom boom was the better fighter.. I will also ad that Ray's 1989 fight with Hector Camacho is seen by quite a few people as being a robbery... Had Mancini pulled that fight off, after returning from a 4 year abscence, the margins between him vs Haugen and Paz wouldn't even be close.

Boom Boom was 20 years old with 20 fights when he gave Arguello all Alexis could handle for 11 or 12 rounds. Nuff said.

Good call on Arguello/Mancinni. Ray peaked very early in his career. The first 10 rounds or so of that fight was probably Ray at his absolute best. Being a hard core Arguello fan I was in a state of shock.
