Vinny Pazienza vs "Irish" Mickey Ward

    Who pulls off this one.

    I am with Mickey Ward, but this would have been fun.

    Pazienza by UD

    I like Ward but Pazienza though not the best was a world class fighter with a top chin and good power at 140 and good legs who moves too much for Mickey to do anything with.....I think a Gatti-Pazienza fight would be a good one

    Arturo was faster and perhaps a slightly better boxer, but could be drawn into a brawl.
    Ward is stronger , tough as nails, and had a world class body attack. Both had heart beyond their peers.

    Paz, was a big strong fighter with good footwork, but I would go with Ward being able to hang with him and slug for longer than Gatti. It would be a war, and Paz would have to have the higher odds of wining "logically".

    TO heck with that, I say Ward batters Paz's liver into a jelly donut, and surprises him with his endurance, its enough to win a decision.

    I like Ward. He is a great guy it seems, but Vinny was more top level fighter. He would edge Ward in a fight.

    Come on , Ward is a nice guy but isn't world level and Vinny was really good.

    Ward was a world class pro boxer.
    You dont fight on HBO MULTIPLE times being a club fighter .
    Paz beat who at jr welter? Garza beat him bad. Mayweather shut him down and dropped him.
    And as far as outboxing Ward when did you ever see PAZ box an ENTIRE fight?

    Pazienza was mediocre at best. He was carefully guided and he had the Duvas.

    Except Ward did that because he was the perfect opponent for Gatti .. I would not say Ward was a club fighter but he was not top ten material either ..

    My point is you have to be world level to appear on HBO multiple times not to mention ESPN.
    Did he have world class skills as a pure boxer? Hell no.
    But he had world class conditioning,a chin and a body attack that MADE him world class.
