    MARK MORAN – Will face Champion Matthew Marsh for the British Super-Bantamweight title at Leigh Sports Centre on April 17th after Frank Maloney was successful with his purse bid to give Mark home advantage in a fight which we feel he can and will win.

    THOMAS McDONAGH –Was upset to here that Gary Woolcombe withdrew from there British eliminator purse bid rather than fight him. It means that both boxers will probably now only box 6 round fights on March shows rather than square off for the opportunity to get a crack at the Lonsdale belt. Woolcombe won the title by default when Jamie Moore vacated and lost on his first defence , surely the chance to fight for it in a legitimate way should not be turned down.

    TONY QUIGLEY     - Will challenge Paul Davids for the English Super-Middleweight title in his home town Liverpool on the 28th March Hayemaker show

    STEPHEN WOOD - The normally quiet VIP promoter has said that after 12 years of promoting he feels this is the year when the stable will hit the big time . He expects Tony Quigley , Martin Murray , Jamie Moore , Brian Rose , Mark Thompson , Mike Gomez , Gary Sykes , Mark Moran ,Stuart McFadyen and Gary Davies all to box for titles in 2009 and expects at least 8 champions by 2010 . With a nice bunch of prospects signed up underneath them ,the feeder chain is also there.

    been going to a few vip shows and am looking 4wd to all the talent they have coming through this year, plus steve wood is one of the nicest people in boxing and deserves everything that comes his way!

    He certainly is stille with VIP :D

    Sykes wil be fighting a 10x3 British Title Eliminator at SuperFeatherweight on the Barnsley Metrodome bill feb 27th, not against Carl though....would say who but not sure if its all be confirmed etc so wont say anything!

    Yeah im on the bill...ill speak with Mr.Aston tonight and see if im aloud to say who hes boxing..i think some people will be quite suprised!

    Didnt realise you were a 'night nurse' too. Yours makes more sense than Dwayne Lewis though! I can see a 'who was the better sugar?' argument approaching as we speak!

    Just to clear up the Gary Sykes position , Carl has been withdrawn in the eliminator with Gary and replaced by Anthony Crolla.

    Gary is down to box at Barnsley on the 27th at Barnsley but not aginst Anthony as this fight needs to go to purse bids on Feb 11th and is to take place by May 2009.

    Good fight ,look forward to seeing it.
