A packed Robin Park arena saw VIP fighters win 6 out of 6 in interesting scraps on Saturday night MARK MORAN The former star amateur moved to 7 undefeated with his first fight in 2 years. The win against John Baguely was well contested but Moran won on the cleaner punches , this win will have cleared some of the ring rust and if VIP can keep him busy then they have another potential champion. STUART McFADYEN Also moved to 7 undefeated witha comfortable win boxing neatly against Delroy Spencer who knows his way around the ring. MARK THOMPSON Got back to winning ways with a one round stoppage over the normally durable Dutchman Ronnie Daniels. In this tune up fight for his British Eliminator on the 26th October in Wigan v Kevin McKintyre , he knocked Daniels from pillar to post leaving the referee no choice but to stop the contest. BRIAN ROSE The new addition to the VIP team kept his unbeaten run going with a very evenly matched fight against Lee Noble who was worth a draw in the eyes of many ringside spectators. The extra composure and work rate from Rose is what properly nicked him the win. ALEX MATVIENKO - No surprise with Alex being in the fight of the night again !!. This rematch of a previously disputed draw had fired up Alex and his eagerness saw him cut within 20 seconds of the first round .However, instead of disturbing him, it pushed him on and in 6 rounds of non stop action Matvienko threw more and blocked more to win and move to Ten undefeated. MARTIN MURRAY - Despite having the biggest and noises following ever at a VIP show ,the St Helens hero kept his composure on his debut and looked like he had been a pro for several years. His opponent Jamie Ambler was over a stone heavier and this was what kept him up as Murray stalked him for every second of the contest forcing him back at every opportunity this Kid is one to watch and VIP look to have a Murray to replace the lost one. Details out shortly on the 26th October Sky show at Wigan and an explosive interview with Michael Gomez on his up an coming British title fight against Carl Johanneson which takes place live on SKY from the Doncaster dome on the 19th October 2007.
