I love the way that the will of one vote is so precious and binding to the people who won. I wonder if they would feel it reflected the will of the people forevermore had it gone the other way?

Anyway, the problem we have is we did it backwards. We had a vote on something wherein what we were actually voting on was guesswork. The current deal is arguably the worst deal to ever be 'offered' to a country who have not just lost a war. I don't see how anyone in their right mind could support it as it delivers none of what Brexiteers want/promised whilst delivering a lot of remainers were fearful it might. It's literally the worst of both worlds.

 

Mate it hasn't even been 2 years and the weasel establishment are trying to overturn the vote of the British people. They took us in 1973, gave us a vote to stay in on a lie in 1975 and refused to give us an opportunity to leave until 2016. That's over 40 years. We vote in historically record numbers, and they're refusing to implement it because they have fingers in various financial pies.

If Leave had lost we would have respected the vote, but these elites do not respect the vote , they do not respect the British voter, they want to hold on to their vested interests. Personal money over everything, like corrupt boxing promoters. They will pay for undermining British democracy, the UK will veer towards the extremes.

We knew exactly what we were voting for - to get of out the EU. It's quite simple, Remainers try to complicate because they don't want to Leave. It's all "oh you stupid people didn't know what you were voting for, let's have a re-run so we can try to get our way and stay in".

May's deal is terrible, a stitch up between EU and British Europhiles. She's a remainer so that's only natural, but the good news is we don't need May's deal.

 

Of course it's a **** deal, it was made by a remainer.

Most frightening realisation of all of this for me is the fact that we [the leaver's] are actually having to try & convince the people of GB that the UK should be in charge of it's own affairs & destiny! LOL Madness..

Sorry mate, but the EU is a circus, an undemocratic gravy train. We have enough with one set of em in Westminster, I don't want another set in Brussels..

 

It has had plenty of brexiteers' finger prints on it, they've just done a poor job as our current government is especially incompetent.

And I'm not some EU loving idiot. If I believed we'd be better off out or that the EU was the tyrannical beast forcing it's ludicrous whims on us then I'd say go but the way I see it, it's a necessary evil for the time being. Taking our ball home won't help us.

 

Well you'll probably get another chance to vote this year.. Like in most other EU referendum's when the powers that be don't like the answer they got first time. It will be wrangled & contrived to bring about another vote, i won't be voting to be governed by France & Germany but have at it, you might win this time..

 

You know in other countries they think we have far too much say in what goes in and we're seen as cherry pickers who take what they want right?

If you're Greece or Spain then you don't have much of a say but the UK carries weight in the union. Make no mistake about it.

It's all perspective mate.

I can't think of a political institution wherein I don't hate the people who run it.
