OK, stop it right now. Peters "skills" are best described as non existant. Virchis isn't exactly skilled either but for sure better than Peter. And a big plus for Virchis, he is no dirty fighter like "Call me Rabbit punch" Peter.

 

He was able to land that punch and did have Maskaev hurt, watch the first 30 seconds of the fight and you will see Rahman land a huge overhand right that hurt Maskaev. I think its safe to say after Rahmans last showing against Lawrence that Peter is way better than Rahman anymore, I cant wait until Peter shows everyone his amazing power when he fights Maskaev in a couple months.

 

You know it is funny that you call me a Wlad nuthugger but I doubt you can find a single post where I have ever said anything of the sort. And the most dominant heavy since Louis was Holmes followed by Lewis so shut it. My praise for recent competition has gone to Chagaev who has wins over Virchis, Ruiz and Valuev, I have said his recent opposition is better than Wlad's. Sorry but my criticism of Peter has nothing to do with Wlad and everything to do with being tired of this hype job. I have also said that Povetkin stands an excellent chance of beating Wlad, something you have derided me for, so make up your damn mind.

Peter, despite getting knocked down 3 times, showed he has a very good jab against McCline. It is snappy, quick, and powerful. He also displayed a very good counter right hand and caught McCline with it several times. Against James Toney, he was constantly able to counter Toney's lead left hook with right hands and in their second fight, he showed that he can indeed be a very cerebral fighter, keeping Toney at a distance with his jab, countering him, and catching him with short punches coming in. His jab is significantly better than Virchis, he is more mobile, and he is the better counterpuncher.

Watch Virchis - he is more powerful than Peter, but in terms of boxing skills, he doesn't quite have as much as Peter. People who claim Peter has the skills of a pedestrian are kidding themselves and obviously unable to look at him objectively and with an open eye. I will be the first to admit he isn't a great puncher with Tyson-like power (or Virchis-like power for that matter). But I will honestly say he has shown himself to be a good boxer.

LMAO, Mccline ' lost' to Zuri Lawerence! At least Rahman knocked his ass into the crowd and then TKO'd Lawerence.

 

Peter is no more dirty than Wlad or any other great fighter out there, If you need examples I will give them to you? Peter is a great fighter who is trying to make this weak division exciting again, with his devastating power and his amazing heart. He will show everyone how special he is when he knocks Maskaev cold in under 6 rounds, I just hope haters like yourself give the man some credit when the time comes.

Peter is a dirty fighter. He throws plenty of foul punches to the back of the head. Wlad is pretty much a clean fighter.

 

No way I give him credit for stopping Maskaev, if he does, since Maskaev is known for being chinny to say the least. Being exciting? Your boy hasn't been exiciting since he KO'd Jeremy 'Half man/Half glass' Williams. And now you are calling him a great fighter? Whoa, drinking from the kool-aid there a bit? You know Jimmy Jones isn't your friend? You might want to leave Guyana and come back to the US there buddy.

 

Virchis doesn't need great techniqe. The fighters who face him need it to avoid the incomming.

Peter is a decent boxer.Virchis isn't, but Virchis hits a little harder, is taller with greater reach, has better stmaina, and has no chin issues to date.

No he isnt, Wlad constantly leans on fighters back and neck trying to tire them out for the later rounds, which is illegal. He also excessively holds depriving certain fighters of a good punch or a knockout.

How about this, you name one great championship fighter and I will tell how he cheats in fights.
