Aren't they basically the same guy? One-armed stick-and-move boxers without much power who figured to give just about anybody fits in their primes?

    Who wins?

Conteh, easy.Better at everything.Great fighter.Hill is not.Hill has gotten alot of props recently due to his longevity, but if anyone thinks the Conteh of Ahumada loses to any version of Hill, nope. Can anyone imagine Hill hanging in with Saad?I think not.

Hill deserves his dues because of his longevity...he is a clearly more accomplished light heavy than Conteh.

But for John's short peak, he was a very special fighter. I can't see anything but a win for Conteh...even JC from the first MSM fight squeaks by against just about every version I've seen of Hill.

holy ****, this might be the new record hold for most boring fantasy fight ever....the winner is the coroner who has plenty of bodies from the mass suicide by the 4th round of this fight (which is won by conteh, one of the best 175 pounders ever h2h who just rarely pulled it all together at the top level)

Conteh burned out too fast. I would pick him in this match, but by thin margin. Hill gets credit, lots, for lasting longer. I remember when Conteh was in "scandal" which would now be laughed at, when after a title fight he ran drunk and naked with Champagne bottle through hotel. He had to call press conference to apologize to fans.

John Conteh get´s a lot of love on here but honestly I never saz what´s the fuzz about him - similar is true for Buchannan and others, guess it has to do with all the British people on here. Yeah, a good fighter but not a special one. Same is true for Hill. Close match-up. Would pick Conteh by a close margin a think. Looks slightly better at his best. Like beeing said, Hill has the better longevity and deserves to be ranked higher.

Conteh only became over reliant on one arm when his right hand started to become injury prone. At his two fisted best,John would decision Hill. Actually John possessed quite decent power.

Prime for prime Conteh by decision ... however Hill deserves far more credit for his focus, heart, conditioning and dedication ... if John had Hill's heart he might have been a top ten all time at the weight instead of a flash through the division's history ...

Hill has the edge. Wouldn't really want to see it, though.

Conteh has brilliance over Hill, whereas Virgil was a very good fighter who traded on consistancy..I think Conteh would have edged him in a very competitive bout..he would have won a close 15 round decision.

Hill is higher up the 175lbs all-time rankings, but his peak performances were slightly lesser than Conteh.

Conteh for a very brief time was brilliant, Hill for a long period was merely excellent.

Conteh WU15; nine rounds to six.
