Do you know, just before he said that, I wondered to myself: "He's been doing this for many years now, I wonder if he's ever made a mistake" and then 10 seconds later he said Hill instead of Hunter. It was bizarre. I don't think I've ever seen him make a mistake before. I'm sure he must have over the years though.

I have a friend who's met him who says he's a really nice guy.

I've seen the HBO cast make a few mistakes before.

 

And, more importantly, he did it earlier than the Lightning of Pensacola :hey

 

True. And Tommy Hearns beat him years before Dariusz beat him and Jones stopped him.

 

When Darren Barker challeneged Sergio Martinez, Buffer called him Darren Baker.

I must have missed that.

I can remember Jim Lampley making a few mistakes. I've always liked Jim though.

 

I would expect a commentator to make a few mistakes as they just chat on the fly rather than being prepped and reading from a script like an MC would.

I don't mind Lampley, either. He could do with knocking the crying on the head when he is a talking head in a boxing documentary, but I do appreciate his overall enthusiasm.
