Just as dumb as the people claiming he moved up to avoid Golovkin.

    :good exactly

Maybe Ward will asked to move to cruiserweight or heavyweight to protect Kovalev

FFS some of the rubbish I read involving boxing blows my mind.

I still say Ward will somehow find a way not to fight Kovalev.

I really don't mind Hunter, Roach, Roger or Abel being proud of their fighters and saying big things about them or speaking their mind on situations like this.

For a trainer it's like his fighter is his tough brother or uncle that they protect and talk up because they are emotionally invested and in some cases love the guy. That's the way it seems to me anyway.

Just watch that, actually more importantly listen to it and tell me you take anything this "trainer" says seriously because I can't

I believe it HBO does want to protect GGG. They knew like everyone else here that Ward would have tooled him and they didn't want him to stop the hype. At the same time, Ward was willing to stay at 168 only if he could get GGG in the ring. After that failed to materialize he really had no other choice because there was nothing left for him at 168, he beat all the top guys of his era there.

Do you honestly believe Golvokin who according to many on here is always the "b-side" and only fights "bums" has so much influence and power he and the people that matter can make Andre Ward move up a weight?

WTF does that make Ward?

    "C-level" or "D-level"?

I can't take any of this seriously :rofl

Nope. Hunter has said Ward was told by HBO to move up and fight Kovalev. Told by HBO and like a good puppy he falls in line.

No, Hunter tells the truth. You the liar.

Olympic weight classes are different than professional weight classes.

I read Ward saying he fought under 168 lbs in the Olympics. Where did he say he was a natural light heavy??

    superb

Do you think they will make Ward move to heavyweight to protect Kovalev?

And then ask him to retire to protect Wilder, AJ, Fury and the rest.

I believe HBO had no interest in making a Ward-GGG fight because they already knew the outcome.:deal They think as I do that Kovalev-Ward is a 50/50 fight a fight he can lose unlike with GGG and they really don't care about Kovalev for whatever reason like they do GGG. Which IMO is dumb because Kovalev is more proven and better than GGG is.

He was forced to move up because Kovalev had no opponents.

If Ward was forced to move up a weight then he is definitely "b-side" when in the same sentence as Golovkin.

Can't have it any other way :good
