Why aren't you asking DeGale to move up or Groves ?

Froch isn't going to fight him, AA not going to goto USA to fight him again, doubt Stieglitz does either. Doubt Ward goes to Germany, which is a frequent, but valid criticism.

However it would surprise me if Groves and DeGale didn't step up. Maybe the winner of Groves/DeGale 2? I have a hunch that Groves Jacks Jack then rematches DeGale in a big UK unification. The natural fight after would be Ward for the winner.

While wards biggest fights, both legacy and monetary (besides froch ) are at 175, if he can still make 168 hes doing the right thing. I think ward becomes unnecessarily vulnerable at 175.

Really no fights that interest me there for him other then maybe degale, and froch 2, so i expect his career to be pretty quiet for the next few years, but hes doing right by himself if he indeed can comfortably make 168 still.

If Ward doesn't want to move up that's a little disappointing but as long as he makes the fights that count at Super middleweight then I'll have no complaints. Also just because he isn't moving up now doesn't mean he won't move up in the future.

We can forget about Froch, he's really retired, we won't ever see him in the ring again.

DeGale for me is the next clear obvious opponent and the fight I want to see next. Question is does DeGale really want this level of fight so early during his reign, would he rather rematch Groves or get a few defences first before stepping up to Ward's level. And even if DeGale wants the fight would Ward even want this fight and if he does would he travel, this will always be a sticking point in regards to any future fights against European opposition.

Well that's a huge suprise. Unlike the wardo's on here, andre knows he would be body bagged up at 175lbs

That's no disgrace. Lhw is murderers row and it's gonna get more dangerous

LHW is beyond Wards stomach. He should fight DeGale, Andre Dirrel or .....

He is kinda 'bookended" with GGG below and Kovalev above. Both would massacre him cause Ward would be forced to fight on neutral terms, and he don't like that.

Why is Froch 2 interesting? (Not that Froch will fight him anyway).. I don't get it.

    This.

Andre doesn't have to move up to LHW yet. Barring injury/retirement, Kov is't going anywhere.

I want to see Andre vs Kov as much as anyone else, but I only want to see it when there's nothing left for him at SMW. I definitely think he will go to LHW in the future, and he's stated that once he leaves SMW, he won't want to return.

If he moved up to fight the likes of Kov now, and then either Groves or DeGale picked up two belts, and GGG moved up, then all the fans demanding that he moves up now, would all be demanding that he moved back to face those guys.

Also, I believe that GGG will definitely move up to SMW, when he's done all he can do at MW.

But I'm sick of some of the clowns on here, who have probably never been near a gym in their life, and who have no knowledge of the business side of the sport, claiming that he's scared to move up etc.

Eh.. maybe not all that interesting. But relative to the division its one of the very few fights i would care about.

Does anyone think Degale has a shot at Ward? but I guess he is best 168 can offer for Ward.
