Did you chat to him? Always wondered what Chris was like when the cameras aren't on him. I heard Eubank jr was boasting that he handled Degale in sparring which surprised me

These kind of articles **** me off because you get some people that love to kiss a boxers ass and theyre so obsessed with that boxer that they dont even consider the skills and talent of their potential oponent. Joe Calzaghe was good, he was very good. He lost to Hopkins and he was given a gift in that decision but lets forget about that. He beat RJJ but everyone knows that a prime RJJ would have ripped him to shreads but thats not the debate so lets not bring that up. Ive said this before about Andre Ward and ill say it again. Andre Ward is a monster theres no one out there currently that can beat this guy, he would have slaughtered Calzaghe most likely won every round against calzaghe. Calzaghe struggled against far less oposition that the oppostion that Ward has had easy nights against. Ward even this early on in his career has a much better resume that calzaghes entire career. Ward is another RJJ but just not as good maybe 90% of what RJJ was trust me this guy is a superstar.

The most you can say about the hop-cal fight is that hopkins won a morale victory, amazing for someone his age to come within a whisker of beating a postprime 10 year champ. I dont think any 40something will ever do that again, and I'm not sure it has ever happened in the past.

It was a filthy morale victory though.

But yep it was a SD loss for bernard, only just. If you dont do nothing for several rounds then you arent going to win, even if you outclassed the other guy for the first half of the fight.

Hunter is right though outside of Lacy Joe never manhandled anyone of Ward's level !

Couldn't avoid chatting with him:lol: He bounced out of a car with both sons and entered the station. Within seconds he was talking with everyone. Yep he was boasting about handling degale in sparring and i saw them just after they had been asked to depart the gym:lol:

Basically eubank snr is as confident out of the ring as he was in it. Borderline arrogance but i can't help but like the fella.

He is a personality, love his interviews, he always makes me laugh, great fighter in his day as well, his fights with Benn are some of my favourites ever.

As for jr, sparring means very little, Degale would beat him in a real fight for sure. What do you think of Jr? I think he's a bit better than some give him credit for, at 3 fights into his career he's been facing guys with winning records

You point out where i said it was? I was not arguing against your point, I was curious as to what example you would select. But you refuse to do so for some reason.

He is for sure a personality and he adores the limelight. He is a likeable intelligent fella who seems to be a good father to his sons etc. And yes a great fighter.

yep i think degale would do him now but i am not and have never been completely sold on degale.

eubank jnr looks to have some very good attributes for such a novice. He looks very fast and can throw fluent combinations. His footwork needs more nurturing and he needs to develop some more pop to his punches imo.

i already did refuse to give examples to such a stupid question and why should i be bothered to do it again when all you have to do is re-read what nonsense you stated within this thread.

but you also failed to say why he ducked that 3 million and is because they wanted the fight over in England and we all know what happens when Calzaghe fights over there he'll throw a barrage of punches but only land 3 at most and the fight gets stopped

  15. No, they wanted the fight in Australia which is in Europe according to Hopkins. :rofl:nut:oops:
