virgil said this before ward fought froch

Do you guys agree with this statement which is better to make your opponent quit after brutally getting beat up or knocked out?

He's probably saying that when you quit you admit defeat completely yourself whereas KO may come out as a fluke? Who knows.

    Makes total sense.

Anyone can win a fight with a knockout shot even if they were losing every second of the fight previously but getting a boxer to quit usually means that you've beaten them mentally and physically through your boxing skills and gameplan.

Na you can make up more excuses when you quit, where as if you get knocked then the proof is there in my opinion.

Other way round I think. Amir Khan is a good example of this.
