I assume you believe the same to be the case if Ward doesn't fight Kova or Stevenson after Paul Smith.

Listen to the interview. Ward is coming off a long layoff and is fighting 4 pounds above his weight class before he gets back active. Chad Dawson fought at cruiserweight after he lost to Stevenson, but he was at 175 the fight afterward. Same with Andre Dirrell. Dirrell fought a few fights above 168 when he was coming back and now he's a 168 pounder.

The whole point of this thread is that Ward is a super middleweight and he's not transitioning to 175. GGG's excuse for not fighting Ward was that "he wanted to clean out 160" and how GGG wasn't fighting at that weight. Both the explanations go out the window after a Froch fight.

I'm a big GGG fan and not a big Ward fan but those situations are not 1 to 1. Ward's been off a long, long time. He should be able to work himself back at a weight his trainer feels is best for him.

I also disagree with the other guy that it will be a clear duck of Ward if GGG fights Froch and then immediately moves down again. Fact is, Froch is one of 3 name value guys from 154-168 along with Cotto and Canelo. They're the type of fights you give up something to make if you have to. If GGG fights Froch and then moves back down immediately with his name value enhanced then it's not a massive duck of Ward. If he beats Froch and keeps campaigning at 168 while showing no interest in fighting Ward, then it's a massive duck.

Yeah, I was just messing. Honestly, after Froch, Ward should be on Golovkin's sights, as the next fight or the fight after.

Fact is Wards only fight in years is not at super middle so all we actually know is he could not make the 168 weight class in this fight and that he claims in the future he will be fighting a weight division lower then he is now.

I wouldn't have an issue with GGG going after DeGale, Dirrell, or Groves for his next fights after Froch as he gets used to the weight. But after a few fights at 168 the Ward ducks will be starting to quack loudly.

Ward is light heavy wanting to fight a middle weight.

I don't understand it either. He is a cruiser making a brief stop at light heavy.

All that BS from Ward about being ready to fight the last 19 months. He can't even make weight.
Also funny to me that they fight another SMW at 172, but they fought the LHW champ at SMW.
