I dont know but if that is correct and im not sure it is, as I have not seen anything where Golovkin was looking at a Froch fight but only him mentioning him as a future fight if he goes up to SMW, but if that is correct I guess it may be because he feels that Chavez was not long away from MW and that Froch isnt a SMW that goes much beyond that weight on fight night, and that maybe it is thought that Ward was a naturally heavier SMW who is heavier on fight night. Of course I dont know, but just speculating.

I dont really think Golovkin has shown interest in moving up and think he wants to clean out at MW, which I dont see what the problem with that is

 

Mr. 97 K in PPV buys needs to know his. The guy has vastly overestimated his drawing power and thinks he's great without ever seeking out greatness and his flop with Lemieux proved it. Ward had a potential super fight with Bute which he didnt appear interested in and has a potential super fight with Kovalev.
Curiously what elite comp do you feel Ward has beaten? His best win was arguably faded, unwell double vision suffering, not overly active Kessler who had already been beaten
