Cus D'Amato was 80 years old and never held pads in his life :lol::lol: He used a slip bag. Tyson did a little pad work with Atlas and Rooney but it was to hone teqnigue and defense not to learn how to 'punch hard' like you idiots are saying. He used the Heavybag and hard sparring for that.

Funy how P4P #1 and #2 are the guys that are shitty on mitts:D
I never said that going easy as Floyd is the way or better than classic mitts work out, but i simply stated that mitts are not power punching workout, you can learn every other aspect of boxing on mitts and improve technique which will add some power but mitts dont give to much resistance as proper heavybag does so they will never increase your power as heavy bag thats what i stated, long list of things pads benefits before it comes to increasing power, and i stay by that statement.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZWluDsRayI

Here is great video of Roach where he clearly talks power on heavybag, and technique combinations, movement balance angles etc on pads, not a single word about increasing power through pads.

regarless of whos P4p rigo is the best boxer, u morons dont know **** about boxing and theres no doubt u'v never boxed ever! because anyone who boxes will disagree will you! boxercise or fitness classes will have padwork for fitness where u dont hit hard thats the type of technique u want a pro boxer to have right smh, ur anabsolute moron, in boxing u have to have all ur weight behind every punch transering weight from punch to punch u learn this on the pads!

im done schooling u, u clearly have no idea about real boxing!

:rofl First of all you are ****** obviously, even in the fight not every punch is 100% power, or you even think that every punch fighter throws is the same:patsch fighters do not always sit on their punches for full power...

Listen i have never said that that style is better than classic style, whole debate started with me saying pads are not for power training it is for technique, when you hit the pads your concentration is on TECHNIQUE thats what are you working on not on POWER, thats all I'm saying, and this does not mean you just touch pads like Floyd but main objective is to be technically sound as much as you can while hitting them.

Technique is power u believe in BS myths like alot of other people, turning ur body weight toes hip and shoulder into the shot is technique, and its how you get power, u cant be technical and have no power that doesn't make sense u dumbass!

u do this while maintaining balance and shifting weight,

I'm afraid its not that simple, better technique does produce more power, but there is tons of examples of technically great fighter not having tremendous power, dont tell me that Julian Jackson was technically perfect fighter but he had sick power many fighters far more technically sound dont and didnt have his power, thats why some world class trainers claimed punchers are born not made(some also world class disagree).
Ward and FLoyd are miles ahead of Julian Jackson but they dont have his power
PS keep on calling me names typical internet hard guy :tired

U dont know boxing at all! if u dont have power u dont have elite technique simple as that, your not perfecting it! ward also has good power and mayweather is not technically the best but hes smart! I also box btw! and u clearly dont, it's a technical flaw in mayweathers game that he doesn't punch for instance rigo is technically better and turns his shots copletely over with his weight mayweather doesn't

by the way it is as simple as that better technique equals more power, but the boxers u think are technically great like mayweather theres better out there!

BUT you can have power without elite technique!!! Julian Jackson didnt have elite technique!!!
I actually train boxing for years, now sadly 3x a week because of college do you believe me i dont care at all, BUT you failed to explain to me how some fighter technically worse than other have more power, another example Shavers wasnt technically great at all but is one of the hardest punchers ever,
