Clearly a good bit of knowledge behind the joke, though if I'm to be a sweaty: Saddler actually trained Foreman as well, along Moore and Dick. The story goes that he was the only one with the authority to sway George from going vegetarian. Him abandoning Saddler style is only partially true as well. He was already starting to box more under Clancy and his pacing and intentions needed obvious adjustment during the second career, but his tools and techniques remained: the long guard with checking and controlling rear hand; the cross guard (Archie's forte obviously, but Sandy used it as well when his long guard was penetrated), the uppercuts and shovel hooks etc.
isn't it antithetical to not try and let younger people integrate into the classic forum so that these conversations continue into the next generation? i don't see the point of gatekeeping and being antagonistic in this sense. you're the adult, act like one. if i didn't know you had been posting on the same forum since 2007 i'd think you were the child from your replies in this thread.
The replies in this thread are generally good-natured and were taken as such by the recipient. There are plenty of people who post here who also post at r\boxing. As for this particular thread, I don't want to see a whole pile of threads being started as meme sharers and think that should be resited whatever the perilous consequences to the next generation. If you have any problems with the way the forum is moderated, see the below link which includes instructions on how to make your complaint. https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/read-before-posting-forum-rules-thread.104165/
it was a question, i have nothing to file a complaint about, you're a good mod, we just disagree. i hope the perilous consequences of future memes posted doesn't muddy the content of classic in years to come. draw.
