    I like this idea :p

I think most people would be pissed if on a Monday (as we all know world chest workout day) I sat on the bench press and started doing dumbbell curls in a packed gym. Same thing.

There's no good reason to do curls in a squat rack. It's sheer laziness to not pick the light weight off the floor.

The rules of Planet Fitness -

    1. Grunting, swearing and psyching-up rituals. Banned
    2. No cell phone use on the gym floor.
    3. The banning of excessive noise from bar drops etc. e.g. Olympic lifts.
    4. The restriction of dumbbell weights to a maximum of 80 pounds.
    5. Chalk, often used for heavy lifts such as deadlifts. Banned.
    6. No jeans, bandannas, do rags or skullcaps.
    7. No gawking at women and making them feel uncomfortable or trying to pick them up.
    8. References to sexual orientation or any other offensive conversation is prohibited.
    9. No deadlifting.
    10. Don't be smelly. Change sweaty clothing if you must during your workout. Sweat is part of working out but not something we want to share.

If you break the rules 1,2,3 or 9 the Lunk alarm may be sounded.

How do these morons get anyone to enter these gyms?

I know the mobile phone thing is frowned upon but I couldn't really give a **** about that, I use it to check what is next in my routine between sets, it effects nobody.

No deadlifting is possibly the stupidest rule for any gym.

Wat? Is that for real? So that gun is basically a library then?

I actually got told off by the pt for talking on my phone. I was like wtf? What's the difference between me talking on the phone and those two old ladies over there talking about who's got the saggier tits?

Number 10 lol. So they're saying don't sweat? At the gym. **** this world.

    **** Planet Fitness.
Only rule that makes sense is 3. If a girl decides to wear almost nothing and do pilates in the middle of the gym, that's her problem for going to the gym to do pilates. ****ing ridiculous.

a non sequitur, but jeez 1000 is a ton (or half a ton) for a normal sized man to be doing - you don't see that kind of thing everyday. (Having said that, I do think Rahman was easily in the 1500++ club, his squats were ridiculous and he was repping like 450 lbs on bench pretty easily circa 2005).

I remember watching him on the legs and thinking what the hell?

I never got anywhere close to a 1000 ... maybe close to 655 or 700 on a great awesome very best day.

So you could say bench 80kg, squat 100 kg and deadlift 120 kg? Because that equals 660 pounds. Those aren't impressive numbers by any means.
If you can deadlift 200 kg (which isn't uncommon) then you're pretty much halfway to the 1000 already.
If you weigh 80kg or more and hit the gym regularly then I'd almost say you're weak if you can't put up 1000.

Yeah when I weighed 125 lbs I was benching 255, squatting 200 and really didn't dig dead lifts, really bad lower back.
