Wow you people realize that the last time Briggs was stop was 12 years ago against the one that Vitali knows well in Lewis? I mean seriously you people act like just cause Briggs is 39 means Vitali should easily ko him lol. I think Vitali wins easy but i'm not too sure he'll win it by ko or tko.

That entirely depends on Briggs. If Briggs really wants to win he will have to put everything on the line for 4 rounds, but he will get KTFO then. If he tries to box with Vitali, sure he will go 12 but lose majority of the rounds and the fight will not be so exciting.

Whether Briggs is just older or not, but he looks, well, odd. Hi face seems really bloated and he looks manufactured.

briggs deserves credit here, i mean he has genuinely made the build up to the fight interesting. he is regarded as the most credible of the title challengers, and a good performance for vitali might create more interest for him.

I'm glad he has been able to hype it up.

But to be honest, I am not buying the hype. I know it isn't easy to get good fights made, but Briggs just doesn't belong in the same ring as either brother.

Before the fight was announced I was convinced that Briggs had faded into obscurity - that his days as someone who could actually fight at the top level were well over. That he didn't take training seriously, and that he was more interested in taking his roids and building his muscles.

There is nothing since then that has changed my mind. I'm expecting a colossal mismatch. A lot of people are hoping that the first couple of rounds might be interesting. I doubt that. I predict that the usual thing will happen... the challenger will get hurt whenever they try to open up and will soon become a punching bag.
Unless Briggs does some stupid **** like rugby-tackling Vitali - or Vitali gets a spectacular KO win, then I can't see his fight being worth watching.
It would be great if it was otherwise, but I expect a stinker.

I agree, and watching how the smaller Ibragimov, dealt with him. Basically shows that all the bulk and muscles won't do nothing to help Shannon...

Yes, he'll come on strong, and get nailed even before he gasses out. That will cause him to thwart the lunging attack plan, as he'll have felt VK"s power........then he'll start to gass out, get hit more and more, and it'll be over by round 7.
